Have you successfully done this? I tried taking in a busted great neck ratchet and they said since they dont carry it anymore I'd have to send it to great neck for warranty.

Actually they dont ALL jerk you once the bolt is tight. IR 111, Husky Reactionless, HF Earthquake and who knows what other ones are all "impacting" and wont smash your fingers.

Country of manufacture is only a bigger concern than price to the tool nerds on this forum. :p123 The rest of the general population pretty much only cares about what it costs.

If you dont think any cordless tool can be light and compact and meet your needs you might wanna head over to home depot and check out the milwaukee m12 3/8 impact. Pretty bad *** little gun with around 100 ft. lb. torque IIRC. Willing to bet its smaller and lighter than any 3/8 air impact but...

If it was USA all the tools would say USA on them too.

Gotcha. I guess I'll share why I'm interested. I picked up this Hazet 450 DOE wrench in great shape. It's a 1" and 1-1/8" with the lower case a and the L shaped underline, marked germany. It seems pretty unusual to find a Hazet piece this old in an imperial size and I'm trying to figure out...

Thanks! Ive seen a handful of tools marked Germany with the lower case a (have one here on my desk actually) so must've been later than that. Gotcha. Thanks for the info! I was hoping anything with a lower case "azel" and germany marking meant it was from before the inception of West Germany...

Anybody know what year Hazet tools STARTED marking wrenches w. germany instead of just germany? Presumably really early 1950s but I cant find any info on it.

Thanks, from what I found their trademark expired in 1995 so presumably they were out of business long before that. I think it is essentially an early version of this, a device to hold a glass blowing torch.

Basically what the title say. I've searched high and low and can't find a single reference to this thing on the internet. It's got a heavy solid base and a swiveling head with a little clamp. All I can possibly think of is it goes around welding hoses or cables to keep your torch/gun/ground...

+1, Dont expect a manual tire machine to work on anything less than a 55 or maybe 50 sidewall profile. Also the arms for the bead breaker are kinda flimsy, I haven't bent mine yet but they should be easy to reinforce if you have a welder. Yea for that kind of money you could find a used...

HF one works fine other than the tire iron bar itself, which is made of butter. If you get it, you can pretty much expect that it will bend and you will have to cut the ends off it and weld them to a more stout piece of tube.

FWIW I have been on both sides of shipping deals on CL and never gotten screwed. I have bought a couple things and sold at least 15 items and they've all gone smoothly. For that matter I've probably done over 1000 transactions between all the forums, ebay, CL etc. and never ever been ripped off...

I think the stanley one is about $13-14 at wal mart around here. I'd buy the husky instead just because of the no hassle warranty. I've got a handful of stanley ratchets that are 3-5 years old and they are honestly pretty nice, but the brand new ones are really cheesy.
