What is with the performance on this site?

I run IE6 at home, and IE7 on my office machine. Same result in both. It's just this site. All of the other sites I routinely visit load very quickly, so it's not the browser, cookies, etc.

What is with the performance on this site?

I think I've narrowed it down a bit. It seems to be at it's worst when you open the page in a new window. Just clicking on links using the same browser window is not too bad, but opening a new one is pretty slow.

Nice Torin Toolbox at Costco Canada @ 1099$

I purchased that box from Costco about 4 months ago. So far, I'm very happy with the value. It's no Snap-On, but I've yet to see anything on the market for $1000 that can compare to it.

What is with the performance on this site?

The pages on this site always seem to take about 10 seconds to load. It doesn't matter what time of day it is, or which computer I'm using. Whether it's my aging, DSL connected laptop at home, or my high performance T1 connected desktop at work, the page load time is always slow. :headscrat

    Torin 56in. Toolbox

I bought the 56" chest & cabinet for $1099 at Costco. I had been looking for a new toolbox for a number of weeks, and was about to pull the trigger on a Waterloo Traxx combination when I ran across the Torin unit @ Costco. The Torin was 1/3 the price of the Waterloo, larger, and fairly...

    Torin 56in. Toolbox

I'd rather have that as well. But that cabinet alone lists for 3 times what it cost me for the Torin cabinet & chest. Hardly comparable.

    Torin 56in. Toolbox

I've had this box for a few months now (purchased at Costco), and am very satisfied with the value. It is much better than what is available at Canadian Tire and/or Sears, for less money. The only thing I don't really like about the box is the finish. It's textured, and I prefer the look of a...

    Quality Cordless Drill?

Makita LXT. I don't care where it's made; it's the best drill I've ever owned.

    Bad day with Craftsman

I purchased a 200+ piece Craftsman socket set about 6 months ago because Sears was having a pretty good sale on them. They've seen only minimal use during that time, but two sockets have already begun shedding their chrome, and a third has a manufacturing defect that prevents it from being...

Reason to be careful with Epoxy

I am concerned about this myself, because the temperatures are currently hovering around the freezing mark where I live, and I'll therefore need to keep my gas heater running while the epoxy cures. At first I thought this simply wasn't going to be possible, but it turns out the "Epoxy-Coat"...
