Advanced Auto Parts closing out GearWrench ?

So gearwrench now becomes an online brand now. Unless sears keeps some of it. I don’t see any other retailers offering full line like advance auto did Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Advanced Auto Parts closing out GearWrench ?

I picked up some parts today and they told me that they were selling off current inventory and were bringing in a brand called TEQ Professional. Anybody else seeing the same thing? Is GearWrench going to more of a Truck brand? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    New Craftsman tool boxes

It’s my understanding that they moved all of the Mexico manufacturing back to Sedalia I’d have to ask my brother he used to work there Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

    New Craftsman tool boxes

Waterloo is now Stanley, made in my home town of Sedalia Missouri. Waterloo had been making Some of the mid to higherend boxes for Craftsman the last few years. They cut, fold metal, paint and assemble everything in that town. Craftsman sent out an email the other day as a press release and...

Tools more consistent than HF in quality

Gear wrench is a good budget choice. Craftsman really fits a lot of your needs as well. I would recommend you buy one set of Snap on screwdrivers in a tray. They are worth the investment and will bail you out of trouble many times. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    I'll second Kiazan foam.

    New Duralast Ratchets

I had seen these and they look good, I had always figured that they were from an Apex factory. They sure look like Gearwrench and Craftsman low profile designs. Good low price option.

    Stanley bashers...

Good for them! 650 employees across Texas, they have a larger US employee footprint than I thought. Was Harbour Freight or China sending any money?

Has anyone used the Matco Tool Grid storage system? And photos?

Looks like Matco dealers only, which I know none. I can't find it anywhere else which is disappointing.

Has anyone used the Matco Tool Grid storage system? And photos?

It's like $150 street price for one large drawer. Google turned up little info but a facebook search turned up a few. I like the fact that you can re arrange it and change things easily. I ad a friend who bought it last year and loves it.

Has anyone used the Matco Tool Grid storage system? And photos?

I'm looking into this system and it looks versatile. I'm sure I'll need additional bags of socket and wrench holders. I've seen very little about this setup and almost zero photos are out on the web. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

    Let's see your Craftsman toolbox

The Craftsman Industrials are most like the Edge series, They are all built near me in Sedalia MO, the cut and bend the metal, powder coat and assemble most of the Craftsman boxes right there. The slides and locks are imported.

    Craftsman Screwdriver warranty?

I can't believe that this is even a thread that's open for discussion.

    Ace Hardware 5,000th Store

I shop at Ace often, I go there to get stuff to finish a project I'm working on. Pricing is a little higher than Walmart but you can get in and out quick and the staff is helpful. It's a good place to have in your community.

    SBD's plans for Craftsman

I think it's great news! Thanks for forwarding the plans they have committed to. Sounds like they already have the factories in place already so it should be an easy addition. They need to get it right when they launch and I'm sure they know what the market wants. Sent from my iPhone using...

New CRAFTSMAN manufacturing plant being built in USA

This is great news! It truly is and I have high hopes. This might be different from any Craftsman we have seen in the past, the old stuff was made by dozens of small contractors in small cities across the country. This new business model may be more in house on the main products.

    Craftsman bashing

I agree with the original poster, People rave over the cheap china HF stuff but hate Craftsman that's made in china. Craftsman still offers 84T slim profile ratchets made in Taiwan by Gearwrench/Apex yet they brag about the Harbour freight ratchets they bought with coupons. Craftsman still...

    First "pro" tools, need reassurance

Long term you should grab a nice used set of Dual 80's. Something you can keep for a lifetime and be proud of. I'm a big fan of 120xp's as well. They are as smooth as the Snap On's. The chrome doesn't seem to be as durable though but that's just a cosmetic issue after a bit of use. 120Xp's...

    Show me your sockets!!

Here's what I learned from the foam organizers above. When I bought the 299 piece set home for the first time they were in plastic bags unsorted so I dumped them into a 4" craftsman drawer. They wouldn't all fit and to be able to shut the drawers. However when I bought the foam organizers I...
