This toolbox thread is just for the Craftsman box owners. I'm starting to gain an interest in Craftsman boxes. I suppose because Cman boxes are what I started out with back in the early/mid 90's at work and at home. If you'd like to post your Cman box pics let's see them. They can be the old silver/red boxes all they way up to a brand new one. I'm liking the old red/charcoal boxes.

well, I thought I got a good deal on these old Cman rollers...$45 for the big one, and $20 for the small one. the 40"ers used to be my favorites... but I'm downsizing! Hahahahaha.

No pic but I still use my project box. It's one of those were the top slides to the side to access little parts bins. Actually found that to be rather useless. Bought it in the mid 90s I think.

I was checking out some Craftsman boxes last weekend - there were quite a few marked "Made on Canada" and ranged from "not too bad" to "this could potentially be my next box". This is a big step from the flimsy red stuff I had seen a couple of years ago...

I've seen that "Made in Canada" stamp before on old HUSKY boxes that were made by Beech Toolbox in Canada. Not bad at all!

Extra and specialty tool storage. I took the wheels off and use a pallet jack if I need to move it. At one point it was so heavy.

My winter in Florida Craftsman ball bearing 6' tall stack. Bottom is 80's vintage waterloo, mid and top are about 2006 and no where near the quality of the bottom.

Since I started this thread here is mine. Took pic this morning. I bought it off CL a few months back. I thought it was unique. I had never seen an arrangement like that on a C-man box. I put the plastic cased tools in the large section which freed up a lot of space in the big Mac box. Thanks for the photos folks, keep them coming.

I started this set in the 90's. A few years ago I bolted the bottom box to the side box and moved out the wheels. It has worked very well.

No pictures on my hard drive, but here are two videos of my 1997 Craftsman "quiet glide"
Toolbox setup.

Used it professionally for about 8 years, then at the house for 6 then back at work for another 2 before being retired to the house for now. Still gets used every day!

Overall its a great quality set that has served me well and made me plenty of money over the years. If I could rewind the clock back to 1997, I may have splurged for ball bearing slides, but the friction glide drawers have held up well.

Here's mine, I have only had it for around 6 months but so far so good. I picked up the Craftsman Industrial bottom from a sears outlet for $300 and got the top for $100 so for what I paid I cannot complain.

The Craftsman Industrials are most like the Edge series, They are all built near me in Sedalia MO, the cut and bend the metal, powder coat and assemble most of the Craftsman boxes right there. The slides and locks are imported.

In all honesty they are very nice boxes, some people knock waterloo but their stuff is very nice other than the fact that they are not very deep.

Here are mine. I bought the 4 matching bases and the red/grey set-up all at one time. I added the newer mid sections whenever I could get a deal at Sears.

The Craftsman box that doesn't match is a $20 score.

I picked this up at Sears today on sale for $39.99
http://www.sears.com/craftsman-4-drawer-portable-tool-chest/p-00935424000P

4 Drawer portable tool chest. The drawers are ball bearing slides with a weight limit of 25lbs per drawer. They lock into place with the lid down.

I bought it keep a set of tools in the back of my pickup. I have a hard cover that locks on the back so they will stay safe. I'll keep it in place with a cargo bar that I already have.

I'm very happy with it and it's hard to beat for $39.99.

I paid 75 for this 25 years ago. I was going to replace it recently but once I re arranged some drawers its a lot better. Wouldn't make me any more money to change it out.
