    Maybe test the cable with a Fluke meter ? I use one at work that has head and tails units , the head tests several parameters of the cable end to end .

    How to rot stumps

    Epson salt will rot a stump . Drill holes using a spade bit , deep and as large as possible, then fill with epson salt . I made one disappear in about six months .

    Drill a 3/8” hole where you had the studs . Big washer / nut on the inside , attached to long bolt or all thread that is inserted thru a board or angle iron .
