FREE BendPak lift – we’re giving it away

This morning my 4 year old son told me he wishes my car could be powerful enough to go as fast as a race car. He wants my car to be faster than his mom's... she drives a 2006 GTO and I've only got a 1991 Camaro :P I need this lift (and probably nitrous!) to help make my son's dream come true!!!!!

50 by 60 design and layout... 48 by 68 build

Re: 50 by 60 design and layout Seems like the approach to the lifts should be in line with the garage doors, to make it simpler to get vehicles (especially long trucks) on and off.

    Mechanix.com Black Friday-Cyber Monday

Nice! Took care of some easy Christmas presents with that. Thanks for the code, worked for me as well, plus I noticed the priced went down a little when ordering more than one.

    Twin V10 Racedeck install

The floor looks great, especially with those beautiful cars sitting on it! Did you use 18" or 24" tiles?

    Craftsman 3 Drawer Project Center

I have the two drawer version of this and while it is not top of the line, it has served me well for 10 years now. My dad gave it to me when I moved out of the house, along with a 200-ish piece craftsman tool set. I do use the peg board sides to hang some tools, and I like the plastic top; it...

    What's your workbench look like?

Nothin' fancy but gets the job done better than my old particle board top. Made from 1" thick solid wood tops stained with Minwax Polyshades, attached to 24" x 48" x 36" Gorilla shelves.

    Which Snap-on tools are rebranded

I have a great all metal 250 ft-lb torque wrench made by CDI. Got it from Amazon. Came with a calibration certificate and a nice case. Apparently, CDI produces torque wrenches for Snap On.

Upgraded my workbench tops + Gladiator wall cabinets

I've been working on making the best of my available space and limited free time. My 21 x 21 attached garage is loaded to the gills with two cars, lawn tractor, strollers, a portable generator, etc. Once I cleaned off the mountain of clutter from my workbench, I was able to hang two Gladiator...

    Home emergency generators

About the smallest auto start, hard wired generator I've seen is a 7 kw unit that is wired to run the essentials only. 14 -17 kw gen sets could run nearly everything in the average home, and 20 kw runs it all no question. The problems with smaller portable generators is 1) If you're not...

    1950's metal cabinets - Beautycraft

Thanks for the input. I hadn't noticed how shallow they were 'til I just went back and looked.

    1950's metal cabinets - Beautycraft

This seems like a good deal on some beautycraft cabinets & countertop with ss sink. Ad says they are from the 1950's/60's and in "good to fair condition." Anyone know how these would compare to gladiator cabinets, etc. as far as build quality, metal thickness, and strength...

Finally building my new shop - 30x46

Wow, this garage is awesome! It is also eerily close to my dreams for a garage, right down to the attic hoist and tailgate bench on the wall, except that I'm a CHEVY guy :p I'm getting quotes from builders now and hope to start construction in the spring. Mine will be 48' w x 32' d with a...

My New Garage with Lift, Attic, Shed

Hello everyone, just introducing myself and throwing out some ideas I have for a new garage on my property. My current attached garage is 22'x22', unfinished, and is packed full with two cars, a lawn tractor, lawn mower, workbench, small air compressor, portable generator, and all the other...
