Thanks for the Kobalt heads up. Didn't get the big sets, but bought a lot of nice stuff for ~$18... Now, to see if I can actually pick it up, or if it mysteriously disappears sometime between now and lunch.

I just happened to catch the New Yankee Workshop where they talk about that cabinet. Apparently it used to hang in the Smithsonian.

Don't know if it's been posted, but yesterday I was able to pick up a couple of Kobalt aluminum 6 in 1 screwdrivers for a new lower price of $2.97, down from $8. Link I love 6 in 1s for tool bags, and the aluminum is unique.

Local store has a bunch of the 138 piece Kobalt kits even though they don't show up on line. And they want the full $129.

Nothing unbelievable, but I picked up a couple for Father's Day. The little one is like those $1 "Swiss Army Knives" except with the bottle opener, but the big one is nice enough.

After striking out on tools for the longest, the best pick yet ended up being 4 doors down from my house. Prices were all over the place. Too much on some hand tools, and really good deals on other stuff. Makita hp2010n. Well used, but still in good shape with all the pieces. Small...

Durnit. I'm already heavily into Hitachi 12v stuff, and could use an impact driver and flashlight (but already have 2 drills). None local, $79 about 20 miles away and $55 about 80 miles away.
