Thanks! I finally bit at $16 or so shipped to my door (after 10% coupon) for the cutters. I was holding out for cheaper but I gave up.

I ordered a bunch of them locally when they were first marked down, but all of them were cancelled. I pretty much gave up after that.

Lucky me... found one of the Boschammers on closeout. Holy ****! For a drill these things are huge! :shocking:

It has separate hammer and drill settings. It's not sold as a demo hammer, though it looks comparable to some of the demo hammers that Bosch sells. When using a chisel bit in hammer mode, are these things adequate for taking up a concrete basement floor to expose buried pipes?

I went back to south Lansing. There were a bunch of yellow tags, but not much that was really good 'deal'. Here are a couple.

only the first one is coming up with discount pricing in my local store. there must be some store to store variation on the discounts.

the second and third one are the same item. not discounted here.

Ya, I noticed too, same with a lot of these big discount items. I got these prices from Rochester, NH

Does anyone know what the difference is between those B&D drills? They have the same model number but one of them has a "C" suffix and the other doesn't.

one is the "Matrix" version.. that's all I can tell you..

Other than the colors, they look the same and have the same stats.

This has been posted before, but still showing tons of these in my area. Funny thing is, my local store is always sold out of these, while others around are showing 100+ in stock.

I just bought a 2-pack of the 40W version of those at my local Lowes. They were also on clearance though I don't remember exactly how much. If anyone sees these at your local store though give them a shot. I got a bunch of Phillips 60w equivalent LED bulbs from HD recently and we love them. They are so much better than CFL bulbs and supposedly will last for 22 years.

their lifespan ratings are such baloney -- 15,000 hour rated life span -- that's 22 years at only 2.16 hours per day. run it for 12 hours daily and the optimistic number is 3.4 years max.

reading philips datasheets i seriously doubt these lifespan ratings. the lamps don't have sufficient heatsinking to lower junction temperature enough to meet the requirements in the data sheets.

while everyone else is buying LED I'm buying the 30,000 hour F32T8 lamps on closeout for 39 cents each.

T8's are fine for putting in new lights, but for a regular house bulb replacement in an existing fixture I'd still gladly take 3 years of LED over the tyranny of CFLs. I'm also glad I can stop stockpiling incandescents like a luddite fearing that one day they will be outright banned.

Don't know if it's been posted, but yesterday I was able to pick up a couple of Kobalt aluminum 6 in 1 screwdrivers for a new lower price of $2.97, down from $8.

I love 6 in 1s for tool bags, and the aluminum is unique.

Bostitch 0.8-HP 6-Gallon 150-PSI Electric Air Compressor
Item #: 498816 | Model #: BTFP72646

This is showing up as low as $99 (Pembroke, MA), but out of stock. Check your local stores. $99 is a nice price for this compressor + 2 nailers/1 stapler

thanks for reminding me of this and info....I was able to land a display model for $45 due to a kind manager.....yeah... missing hose and air connector ends on the guns..... they said...no returns...onl manufacture warranty...
turned on compressor and it works...but havent tested the guns yet...

Unfortunately none in stock but if anyone finds one and can get it price matched here's a good deal.

This all looks weird on my computer so I hope it makes sense when I post it.

Gee that's a nice price lol
Henderson, NC had it for $49.75

I just noticed, there's a shitload of Lowes stores in NC.. lol
Edit: fixed your link

Thanks for the fix. I went back and fixed it. The link was to a store that showed 4 in stock at the time with the pic for the best price I found. $49.75 is definitely better though.

Anyone ever had luck with a Lowes price matching another Lowes in a different state?

I tried for the first time this morning and didn't have much luck. My store had 1 Bostitch compressor and nail gun pkg (that others have purchased under $100) on "clearance" for $209. It was also the display model. I went to customer service and asked if they would match their online price and one lady said "yes" and the other said "which store, is it out of state?" I showed her the one in NC for $59 and she noticed immediately that it was out of state. They called the manager and asked what he'd do for me (lady that called put zero persuasion into the request to the manager) and he said $150. I passed.

Like most things, I'm guessing it'll depend on what the item is, quantity on hand, how long they've had it sitting on the shelf, how much the discount would be, who's trying to help you get the discount, who the manager is, what mood they are all in on that particular day, whether they think you smell nice or have bad breath, etc, etc.

Worth a try but the response appears to be far from standardized.
