Above 1200 Sq/FT The Salvage Garage

Here is another thread on warm start problems on the 6.5. https://www.thetruckstop.us/forum/threads/6-5-warm-start-problems.14499/ As for a test ,another poster, suggested this: I don't know enough about diesels, if this test would hurt your engine, but I thought I'd throw it out. Maybe...

Above 1200 Sq/FT The Salvage Garage

Can you test the pressure after the pump and before the injectors with a gauge? You could test it cold and after it is hot to determine if the pressure has decreased.

Above 1200 Sq/FT The Salvage Garage

I second the above post. I am not a diesel mechanic but, I understand mechanical things and am a google expert. It is a strong possibility that your injector pump rebuild was bad from the start. The guys from Diesel place forum said this...

    Gas Pump Handle Sink

Looks like they used quarter turn valves as the hot and cold. They possibly modified the gas pump to stay on all the time....

Anybody own a Grizzly lathe or lathe/milling combo machine

I bought a 12 x 36 atlas a five years ago will lots of tooling. It came with the milling attachment; I sold that and bought the HF X2 mill. It has served me OK. I have to take light cuts and make sure the workpiece is well secured. It has taught me the basics so when (if) I get a full size I...

    Good portable heater

A big buddy propane heater has 18,000 btus. That should be enough unless your space has many leaks. I have a old single car garage and the big buddy heater is fine when it is n the 30-40s but any colder and I fire up my 60,000 btu torpedo for 30-45 minutes. Then switch over to the big buddy.

    Cyclone-type Dust Collector motor size

2nd the all 6 inch ducting minimum. I have pored over the Bill Pelz information for many hours. I built a blower and cyclone myself with a 2 hp motor and a reverse inclined impeller. On his website is a calculator that figures out airflow based on ducting and blower- very useful

Shadyluke's 30x40x14 Fab Shop in Southeast PA

Insulation pays off pretty quick. My quick mental calculations tells me that heater may be too big for your shop. It will heat it up quickly and cycle intermittently. The plus is free is a great price.

Shadyluke's 30x40x14 Fab Shop in Southeast PA

It will likely burn two gallons of propane a hour, so around nine hours of run time per tank

reduce heat on a 120v 100W heat element (bunn coffee pot warmer)

The best solution will be to buy a thermal carafe. These will keep the coffee hot for a few hours and warm for around 8 hours. The problem with hot plates is it causes the coffee to evaporate and change the ratio of coffee to water and make it bitter. Of course it also depends on the quality...

Re: I've got a Garage!! Now What to fix first (and how?)?? JMO- -Install subpanel in garage. Add new circuits as needed now and later. -Sand or spackle the problem drywall joints, then repaint entire garage. This will make garage look so much better. -Install lighting. Good light makes...

Smuth's 30x40 Woodshop finally under way

Are you planning on using the 6" pvc for dust collection? If so, and correct me if i am mistaken, but it looks you used tee's and not wyes. Tees will cut down on the vacuum in a big way! Wyes and wide sweeps minimize the loss in pressure. I would suggest a few hours reading Bill Pentz website...

Woodworkers - What type of wood for a picnic table ?

Western Red Cedar is the best choice for outdoor furniture imo. It will probably cost the same as rough cut oak, depending on your price. It takes finish well or will color to a nice silver grey with no additional care needed. If you do finish the wood use a finish that has uv protection like a...

    home depot experience today

I have better results when I pull up the website on my phone. Most times it will tell you the aisle and section. If that fails, I show the picture of the item to one of the help...that works about half the time.
