3 Phase conversion for Felder AD741

Really? Because a single phase 7.5 HP has a 31 amp rating. Do I need to double that because I have the two motors running on the same line at the same time? Or do 3 phase motors draw more amps?

3 Phase conversion for Felder AD741

Well. Not great news. I wired up the 10HP rotary phase converter. It will start up and run no problem. But when I wired it to the motor on the planer/jointer, it started the blades spinning (slowly it seems) and then popped the 40A circuit breaker after a second. I can spin the motor and the...

3 Phase conversion for Felder AD741

Hello everyone. I realize there are lots of threads about 3 phase conversion already but I can’t seem to wrap my head around the specifics of my application. I bought a Felder AD741 Jointer/planer from an industrial auction knowing it had a 7.5 hp 3-phase motor in it. I asked my electrician to...

    EZY-Lift pickup bed crane

Hello all. I discovered this item from a Pinterest link. I really think it’s a cool idea. Hydraulic cylinders lift the frame thru a 130 degree range and an electric hoist lifts the items up. It has a 2000lb capacity. I was curious about the square tube dimensions needed to support these loads...

Please advise me on heating my attached 2 car garage in New York

Naturalgas- I have read that propane heaters add a lot of moisture to the room because of the by-products of propane combustion. This would not be good for a workshop with cast iron machine surfaces. Does the Rinnai heater avoid that?

    Quincy Compressor troubleshooting

It's a 325 model. I can't tell if it's the high pressure or low pressure side. I can tell you it's on the discharge side (high pressure?) right above where the intercooler pipe comes into the head.
