    Makita Addiction Thread

Those in house big box brands may have similar quality and longevity, but that is a pretty recent development. And sure the tools may be better, but are the batteries?? My experience with in house brand batteries has been suboptimal to say the least. I have Makita cordless tools and batteries...

How is GH about seed returns? Some companies are getting pretty nasty on returns, only allowing so much and not after a certain date, etc.

That's maybe one of the most impressive things to me, given the large conglomerates in the tool sector but also some of the massive corporate conglomerates in Asia.

So @jblnut when is the new 50x100 shop addition going up? After all you have invoked the sacred GJ rules, which clearly state that you must take the size you need and at least double it before you build.

That was my thought too. Cramped? You can see half of the floor in there that space is wide open lol. I have a 30x40 and had to move a bunch of stuff so that I could pull my wife's vehicle in to change tires.

    Between 705 & 1200 SQ/FT A new lease on life: 30x40 schoolhouse conversion

I'll have to look some more, but from a quick Google search Vulkem looks like one of those products we don't have up here north of the border. I can get some from the jungle store but they are almost $50 tube.... I see a local hardware chain store has some of this in stock, I'll give them a...

Nice updates! Regarding your tree, are there any new buds on it? If not, cut the tip off of one of the newest branches and see what the tissue inside looks like.

If all you are wanting is NDVI images I'd think it would be a whole lot cheaper just to get images from a company like climate? Good to see some updates from you! I haven't been on here in a while as we went through the spring circus again lol.

Well the spring busy period is done so I'm finally getting a chance to work on some projects again. I actually got started on some work on the shop. Before I can get insulation in, I need to fix the window situation. I'm not sure if it's from the seasonal movement of the wood, the oil stain we...

Your numbers are a lot better than the ones up here. New sprayer is $1.3 million, plus at least $100k in tendering equipment. That's $1.4M. Our field size is a lot smaller here with more road time so our productivity for a 120' boom sprayer is only a bit over 100 ac/hr, maybe 120 ac/hr. At...

Hey those welds are better than mine, and on sheet metal too! I hate sheet metal, I either blow through it or don't get enough penetration.

Strouty we had two mornings this week where they woke up to snow 1 hour north of me. I hope you didn't get that out there. This spring has sure been a dud so far.

Geeze that's a big arena. I was going to give you **** for building such a big building just for hay burners, but then I thought about it a bit more. It's really a long term win for you; once the hay burners outlive their time you can just pour a concrete floor in there and have a huge shop space!

    32x40 build in the Yukon

I hear you on the budget. I'm doing the same approach with mine. That's a good thought on a double door. I didn't think of it because my door is a tri fold so I don't have to open the whole thing to get a small vehicle out.

    32x40 build in the Yukon

I'll be watching this one. Be sure to post some pics, it's neat to see the different locations. As far as advice? Finish it all before you start moving stuff in. Otherwise you won't. And don't mess around with only heating a small area. insulate, air seal, and heat the whole thing. That's the...

See this is what really impresses me when it comes to vehicles. Anyone can go and buy a shiny new one, but it takes real effort and dedication to keep an older vehicle looking this good. Well done!

Thanks! I wish it would warm up a bit so I can get some more stuff out. We seem to be stuck in an arctic trough that they are saying will stick around till the middle of the month. Thanks! That's a pretty smart idea. I don't know if that would be enough here on our cold cloudy winter days...
