That's when you say to her "I'd love to put in a pool for you honey, with my tractor it will be like I'm a kid again playing in a sandbox! Although if I'm going to build you a really nice pool I'll need a few more things...." Ya gotta out maneuver the out maneuvering lol.

I'm actually back to needing a winter coat. Currently back to snowing and blowing with windchills below 0F.

I am so ready for that spring to do list after this winter, though I'm likely 4-6 weeks away from mowing the lawn yet. That 185 looks really good! Sorry to hear about your FIL.

I'm about ready to wave the white flag.... Once again the weather has kicked my @ss. We went from solidly below freezing with a heavy snow pack to 10-15 degrees C with lots of rain. So once again I found myself dealing with water problems. This summer the lawn is getting torn up. And maybe...

Are you saying you are going from a carpal tunnel procedure to slinging 60lb bags of seed corn in 24 hours??? If so that's pretty damn impressive.

So what's your plans with this drone? Spreading and spraying your own ground? I still can't quite comprehend how they are charging those batteries so fast without running into problems. I guess I'm just used to older batteries.

So what was more expensive, the drone or the cows? There's lots of drones showing up around here but I think they are finding the limits of them. They started out charging really cheap rates, now they are more than ground rigs.

Sounds like someone needs to head down to the John Deere store and get a backhoe attachment for his tractor lol.

Well that certainly wasn't a good call on your dad's part. Is he going to catch charges for that? He would be getting at least two if it happened in my area.

Well things finally warmed up here in the past little bit so I've been able to get some projects done in the shop. This one wasn't a shop project but a tractor project. I had a good 6-8" layer of snowpack on the driveway that got absolutely tore all to h*ll after a utility truck decided to turn...

I found your thread after seeing your post about paint booths. Will be watching to see what you do with the old jeep.

It's always interesting to see how things are done in different areas. Here, all the well equipment is put in the basement of houses. Gets them into a warm (er) space so we don't have to worry about them over winter.

We are supposed to warm up next week, with daytime highs around the freezing mark, and I'm more excited than I should be lol. That is actually a good reminder for some of us. There's been more than once where I've been outside splitting wood this time of year, and ended up getting a sunburn.

Well there hasn't been much of anything happening in the shop recently. We've been in an extended period of below normal temps; lows at -20 (C) or colder, and daytime highs struggling to get above -15. So needless to say about the only thing I've been doing in the unheated shop is going out to...

Did you initially start out by putting that little Deere on everything to prove to the taxman that it was a farm purchase and not a lawnmower, and now you can't stop using it because it's so handy? :lol_hitti I know chicken poo smells awful, but you'll sure appreciate it in the spring when...

Is insulating a stem wall worth it.

I wish my stem walls were insulated, it would have prevented the nice layer of frost/ice I now have on the interior side of the concrete. As another poster alluded to, concrete will act as a heat sink. In the fall and early winter, they will hold heat. But slowly they will cool down, until...

Glad to see I'm not the only one who has projects that snowball into something bigger lol. That body shop really wasn't very attentive to detail with your car.

I do have a set of socket trays for all my sockets. Usually the problem comes up when I'm switching between multiple sockets during a job, as they aren't going back to the toolbox until the job is done. I've never heard of that. Will take a look.
