    Air compressor creep...

Just take a couple pieces of ratchet strap material, attach it to two of the feet, now just screw the two ends into the sill plate at the bottom of the wall. There will be no vibration transferred through the strapping. It will not take much to just hold it in place. Should be simple. Plain...

    Good or stupid?

That is very nice work, no matter if paid by the hour or paid by the job. Nice job, it is refreshing to see awesome work. On the other side, it sure is nice to have that kind of time to do your job. They should have cleaned up the jumper from the two boxes at the bottom right. Nice...

    shop to house distance?

400 feet for me, could be 450, I don't remember, I had to run a spliter or switch when I ran my cat 5 for internet. Either way, just far enough that it doesn't bother the kids and wife, works great. Also makes for a bit of exercise if it is not raining or 15 below like it is right now. Dan.....

Ever do something so stupid you wonder if you should be left unsupervised?

Well I screwed up big time a few weeks ago, did not involve blood or pain, just the EGO. I have been looking for a Explorer Sport Trac, miles don't matter and I rather wanted to buy one with the motor blown. That way I could rebuild a engine and have all new chains in it. Well I found a Deal on...

    Spark plug hole from hell!!

I think the missfire issue is valve adjustment. With 220k on it the valves are tight. I have not replaced a Honda coil yet. Time to pull valve covers.

First dyno pull on the blown LT1 MGB

Do you not have a blow-off valve. I am helping a friend with a paxton and we are working our way up to 10 psi boost as soon as possible. I would think you want to keep the pulley size and add a adjustable blow off. Dan......

    Wasp Control

I use gas on anything outdoors, I will even mix in some drain oil to spray the corners and holes of trucks and equipment. Gas kills them instantly. The wood structures I spray at night and then I use bleach mixed 50/50 with water. The smell of the bleach keeps them away, plus they do not like...

Info about air compressor unloader valve

If you feel like looking at it, take the brass part out of the bottom of the new switch. There should be a removable schraeder valve in the end, just like a cars valve stem. You either have a bad schraeder valve or the brass part is in to deep on the cast section. If it is just a bad valve...

MAC Tools AC71480 hyd. flare tool looking for insight before purchasing

I use it in the shop quite often, being in the Wi. rust belt. Making flares is a breeze with this tool. I bought this at least 6 years ago, lots of hard use and it has never let me down. I have the master kit, and I purchased the Gm trans line dies a year or so ago. I see no reason you will...

    60 gallon compressor

Question for guys with symetrical 2-post lifts

I have no issue, mine are rotary sp10's I think. Each arm is 34-1/2 inch from pivot point to end of arm. Then I have 107 inches in between the arms or "drive through" clearance. The total length from end of rear arm to end of front arm is 81 inches. Maybe the two columns are to close...
