The drain interval seems way too frequent for home/small shop use. You will probably just be wasting air. I have a similar drain at work that is set to drain every 15 minutes or so but we are using 300+ cfm of air 24 hours a day.

The air system in my plant is black pipe. It's been there for 30 years and is fine.

I have used regular hose clamps in a manufacturing plant with no problems. There are several companies that make "push on" air hose and fittings that use no clamps at all. The fittings are typically identified with a yellow plastic cap that will cover the cut end on the hose when installed...

Air dryer capacity is rated in CFM. From item description: "Capacity @ 35 Degrees Fahrenheit Dew Point Pressure 10-20 SCFM, Capacity @ 50 Degrees Fahrenheit Dew Point Pressure 25 SCFM" The lower the dew point, the drier your air. I would think 20 cfm would cover the needs of most home shops...

I really don't know. I have used them and like them, they were a reasonable price with free shipping so I bought them.

IIRC, I haven't run into any metric fasteners on my '04 and '05 Harley Davidsons even though they use some Asian supplied parts.
