    That's a relief. As you can see from the diagram it looks like it's part of the pulley assembly. Much thanks. Cleaning up parts today.

    I can't find this second snap ring or see it. My plan is to use the pullers and see what happens. I would rather not, but need to get on with it. Pullers wont arrive for a day or so.

    Sounds good. Start back on it tomorrow. Ordering a puller off Amazon tonight. Can't imagine it's going to take too much to remove bearings? I hope. Thank you.

    Disassembly: Trying to remove spindle pulley. It's the last piece for removal. Thought removing the 2 screws on each side of the case would do it. It's loose, but something's holding it. Thanks in advance.

    I just ran across a Babco bench vise model 390 ad on CL, Chicago. The jaws measure 9 inches, a beast, albeit made in China. Does anyone have any information on it? Thanks
