Agreed. I see quite a few NPT swivels. Just used one on a pressure transducer that was made in Switzerland but is NPT for some unknown reason.

How can you tell that's a JIC or other flare fitting and not a female NPT swivel? Not enough thread taper? I mean it probably is, just curious. If a flare, probably a scratched or cracked flare seat.
