Thanks eschoendorff! (New tool chest for me)

eschoendorff posted about the 20% off coupon for Harbor Freight a while ago. Well it just so happened the local HF had this tool chest on sale for $100 off, making it $399: http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=90320 With the 20% coupon, it came out to $320 + tax...

    Electrical wiring books

I just bought "Wiring Simplified. 41st Edition" from Amazon.com. It's based on the 2005 National Electric Code. Pretty good so far. I'm learning a lot.

How to get Sherwin Williams Armour Seal epoxy

Sweet, a Californian. I'll have to check out the Macropoxy. Curious, did you just buy it from a regular SW retail store? Cause on their web site it shows retail and commercial stores as separate.

Fake brick - anything out there?

There was a show on DIYnetwork or something like that recently where they used brick veneer. Exactly like a brick but like half inch thick. Looked pretty cool--I may try it myself.

    Cordless Drills

Doh! I read jfelbab's post and assumed he read it! Bad, bad! Glad to know you're not planning to drill the whole car into cleanliness. :) I'll have to look into the PowerBall thing. My rims are a pain to clean.

    Cordless Drills

I second the PC 7424/7336. I use it and it's great. The only thing "better" is a rotary, but you better know what you're doing if you want to take that next step. Buy the drill for drilling and buy the PC for detailing.

    Ceiling speakers on sale...

Thanks for the links Luke. For a serious music/theater setup, ceiling speakers are usually a compromise, but they might be perfect for the garage. Plus, Parts Express is a cool shop.

    Manual spring compressor

It probably varies from store to store, but the ones I've rented from the AutoZone have all been pretty nice, beefy units. I felt very confident using them. I know, famous last words...
