Update on Garage Build - 16'x20' I could have gone bigger on the foot print but the height I was limited to about 14'6". Update: I still haven't finished the inside yet (3 of 4 walls are done). I did get a 17" bandsaw (220) though which has been great. I had 30 cub scouts cutting pinewood...

I also completed one of the interior walls. I might do a light stain on the plywood.

Thanks! That's exactly my set up. Wife's car in the garage with the John Deere and kids toys/bikes. Truck in the drive way and work shop in the back. That's funny.

Looks like I am going to do a pallet wall - chair rail down on the sides (plywood above). Started a little today.

Worked a little last night. Wired the recess lights, ran some air lines and insulated some more.

Started insulation tonight.

I am looking at purchasing a floor mounted band saw (probably 14"-16") and a belt/disc sander combo. No room in my current garage now but I will in a few weeks.

I do plan on insulating the walls. Nothing yet for a/c though. I have some tools I want to buy first. I did a ridge vent and have the downstairs vented well to the attic so surprisingly it doesn't get too hot in it. I have nice storage up stairs. About 5'5" at the peak. I was hoping to have 8'...

Any interior finish ideas? Send pics if you have them. I am thinking some kind of wood walls instead of drywall.

Well I ended up using a 7-1/2" diamond in my circular saw. A buddy of mine finishes granite and it was a blade they use. It cut great, did my entire garage and also cut a relief joint in my slab with the same blade. It was a mess and I did cut it outside and with a breeze.

I started finishing the floor today. The concrete has a lot more imperfections than I thought. Once I get the second coat on tomorrow I'll post pics.

Thanks guys. Yes it is a roll up door. I recessed it between the joist so it sits just under the attic decking. Worked out well. I do not know about the deck yet. We have thought about doing something. Right now I just want to get the interior finished so I can move tools in. I'll try and...

Starting to paint the trim. Siding paint will come soon. Also about ready to coat the floor. Electrical is done and running my compressed airlines.

Thanks guys. I am going going with H&C solid color stain. I'll post pics when it's complete. Finally getting close to finishing building the garage!

Any ideas on a gutter system or a way to stop all the splash back? I think gutters would hang funny with the roof pitch?
