Thanks guys. Cool looking stuff. Is there a clear sealer you can just install over the bare concrete. It's a new build so concrete is clean and I really like the look of bare concrete but I want it protected too. Thoughts?

I agree. Any sealers that are good, that you can keep the bare concrete look but are protected?

Are furring strips behind hardie a good idea? The walls are wood framed. Just wondering if it's better for drainage is any moisture gets behind. Thoughts?

Overhead door installed Thanks 1/2 Cup. I got the overhead door installed today. It was nice to set the subcontractor up and leave for an hour and come back and something was done I didn't have to do! :-) but I am really enjoying building it. Just not enough time in the day!

Thanks a bunch guys. I am getting ready to start siding my garage. I have 6" soffits on the side and 8-1/4" on the gables. Do you think I could just use some of the lap siding 7-1/4 ripped for the sides and a 8-1/4 lap for the front in back? I would have to cut vents in the soffit on the sides...

Depending where you live $21/sf to build yourself is a good price.

Soffit question It's only 6" wide area and once the fascia on it's more like 5". Here is an over all pic.

The the trusses are now on and I am working on the soffits. I have had questions and had no idea about this forum. So if anyone can help please chime in. I need some ideas for the soffit. I thought about just screening it and using lattic trim but I was wanting something more clean looking...
