Best way to heat your garage?

Garage door is now insulated (cost me less than $200) and I bought a new programmable T-stat that can be programmed for each day. Seems like I'll save money by programming it to switch on an hour before I start and turn off after 8 hours, allowing the garage cool with no maintenance heating...

That would save a lot of theory, yes. I'll do the experiment!

Best way to heat your garage?

Thanks for the replies so far, but I'm still confused. A pellet stove sounds like a good idea if I had one ... I think it would cut down of fuel costs and doesn't take much space. The heater runs for approx. half an hour in the morning now (+5 C), but I think it will be on much longer when...

Best way to heat your garage?

I live in Northern Canada and have to heat my 22' x 24' unfinished detached garage that has a 12' ceiling with closed rafters. It has a 16' aluminum door that I'm planning to insulate with foam panels, otherwise it has standard insulation (r20 walls, r40 roof). I need it above +18 C (64 F)...

    Best Hand Cleaner

I went to help a guy from work in his garage. All he had was this foam stuff that's in a shaving cream sort of can. When you use it, it's not what I expected. It caused dry rubbery pellets to form when rubbing my hands together and they fell to the floor. No idea what it was called but it...

    Need Help With a Project

You can order something similar from the UK (legally), but the original "Jarts" (by Regent) / "Javelin Darts" (by Hasbro) / "Lawn Darts" (by Franklin) are prohibited. You can buy Hasbro flights on eBay but you'd have to get creative to make a knock-off set for yourself ... but this picture...

    "life" time warranty

Snowball's chance in Hades? I think I'd get kicked out of the store (it's 18 years old)! I've done a lifetime's worth of work with it and it's never let me down.

    Anvil asking price..

Have a look at this one in Alberta. $0.75 - $10.75/lb is quite the price range!

    Tool drawer lining/shadowing idea

Yes, but the paint came off these with a dry microfibre towel -- waxing and removing paint would definitely be a challenge with other tools though. The pen idea is definitely easier! ... Looks like good stuff!! (Now you tell me!) :lol_hitti

    Tool drawer lining/shadowing idea

Got the EVA rubbery stuff for $5.99/m^2 and cut to size (took me about an hour) -- I needed 6m. I'd seen people on YouTube "shadow" their tools by cutting foam with an X-acto knife. Nice to know where everything goes and what's missing, but 6 hours for organizing a tool chest? Seems excessive...

    I need HELP

Horrible situation. The tools your late husband owed money on remain the property of the creditor (i.e. Snap-On Credit) until the debt has been cleared. You could contact Snap-On Credit to explain the circumstances and negotiate a payment plan you can afford such that missed payments do not...

    Canadian Tire DEALS

Great choice and good value! Just keep the torque under 90 lb-ft. Blue-Point / SnapOn sell a flex head, dual pawl ratcheting wrench (with 4.5° ratchet engagement and Flank Drive box ends) good to ~200 lb-ft but you pay $$ for them!

    Canadian Tire DEALS

Yep, it's not a mod, just a few things to try when your unidirectional ratchet wrench is stuck and the only other option seems like cutting the bolt or the tool.
