Main Electrical Hookup to New Cabin

The new connection will not be going through the existing structure. It will be 3 wire from the pole to the cabin. New ground rod at the cabin. I am only planning to do this once, which is why it will either be 3/0 copper or 4/0 aluminum. I have already made up my mind about this. What I am...

Main Electrical Hookup to New Cabin

Getting ready to connect the main electrical to a cabin that was just built that is next to an existing structure that already has power. Originally, when the barn was built, running that line was part of the deal with the builder. What I didn't do was make sure that the line he was planning...

    Above 1200 Sq/FT Doing things our way. 50x100 house/shop

Thanks for the response. I figured there had to be a filter in there somewhere. We are planning for a system on an occasional use building. I probably need to stick with a more basic system since we shut the power down when we aren't there and the water wouldn't be moving.

Which is why even though I grew up near you (in Saginaw), I now live in Texas. I'm guessing the hay bales are just to keep the cool breeze out from under the RV? That boiler is certainly a handy item to have. Much cheaper to run than the propane and natural gas heaters I used to use...

    Above 1200 Sq/FT Doing things our way. 50x100 house/shop

Did you design the rainwater system yourself, or get plans from somewhere? I have been doing some research on such systems, but from the pictures you posted I am curious about a couple of things. Do you have anything in place to keep leaves/debris from entering the downspouts? Does this...

That last picture is puzzling. Are you heating the RV with wood?

I'm so confused. Help me out here

I have experience working for a manufacturer of steel castings used for ground engaging tools, and I recently spent some time at the facility of a leading hand tool manufacturer. I can say that the steel that ends up in a casting, or a casting that will later be smashed into a forging is not off...

    Multi-Tool Research

I have a Leatherman Squirt PS4 that is in my pocket almost all the time. Very handy for the size. Most used tool is the pliers followed by the scissors and file. I normally have a larger knife with me as well, so the small blade in the Leatherman doesn't get much use, but it is really sharp...

45x60 HARN Construction Nearly Complete 100 pics

Yes, the building should be skinned this week and doors etc installed next week. Followed by running the electrical line from the pole to the building, adding the septic and spray foam insulation. What I should have mentioned is that is all being done by the builder, whereas the interior will...
