I had a similar situation on my shop build with drill set brackets on a footing beam and then a slab poured around the post. I wrapped the base of the post in window flashing tape before the pour.

Little portable ones are great for tires and nailers and 60 gal and up are great for air tools, painting and small blasting but it really seems the market for 20-30gal ones should be cratering. I have a 20 gal and the only thing I use it for is small plasma cuts

with 12' walls, what about doing 12' sheetrock mounted vertically with 1x3 or 1x4 over the screw lines. Caulked and painted it would look just like board and batten, would be cost effective and give some fire protection. More if you added a coat of mud under everything.

That’s just a quick example I pulled from Amazon. With the Giraffe the whole machine is garbage if the reel breaks. With a diy, just the reel needs to be replaced
