    Wireless outdoor security cameras

Sorry A123s. Just a tip, any marketing that says "up to bla bla bla" does not mean anything. There's a reason that all car manufatures in canada were fined big time for over stating the "up to km/L" rating. Its a common statement used to inflate products. --------------------- Also...

I'm going to be starting college soon, and I have been given the required tool list. The school is offering a Snapon kit with everything required included, along with a hat; but its 600$ :willy_nil . What I want to know is what "budget" brands are the best quality for each item. List of...

    Workshop Tunes

Look around for some last gen Sony mini HiFi component systems. You can find them used for around 150, and they are a lot better then the newer compact stereos. I have a Sony mhc-ec98p running at 530watts RMS, with a 10" sub. In the music industry, there's no replacement for displacement.

    Name your quietest power tools

My dad has one of those California air, air compressors. Its 2gal, runs at 500rpm, and its rated at like 50db. I have a old CPU power supply that I modded to provide 12v DC @ 25amps. I installed a whisper 60mm fan in to it. That way when its under max draw, its still only 12db. My hot glue gun...

Show off your impact wrench. Take a pic of it and Pls share w/ us!

My Mastercraft 1/2in drive Impact. It has a low med and max torque setting. Low is about 80 ft-lb's ( good for lug nuts ), med is about 200 ft-lbs, and max is about 400 ft-lbs (tested). Its not used daily, but gets the job done when it is. Specs: With 420 ft-lb of torque @ 7,000 rpm Requires an...

Impact socket set not made for power tools?

Not really, they say made in USA on them. I also have a cheap set of princess auto impact sockets ( harbor freight equivalent), and the stanley ones are much more robust. They also have a nicer finish. I really don't care if the case says not for impacts. They were cheap on clearance for 30$ so...

Impact socket set not made for power tools?

So I just noticed today that my 30pc Stanley 1/2in impact socket set says on the case that they are not to be used with power tools. Then it shows an impact wrench with a x over it. I have been using the sockets weekly for a few months now, and they don't show any wear. Why would the case say...

Do you keep your compressor pressurized when not in use?

I always drain my compressor after use. Its tank is only 8 gallons, so it only takes 1 min yo recharge. Also water builds up quickly during heavy use, so I like to drain that out every day.

    Wiring Cat-5 Ethernet Cable?

I know that this is not really electrical, but here is what I want to do. Our internet comes from a modem that converts the digital cable into cat-5 ethernet. The problem here is that the modem is in the basement, meaning that the WiFi Router's range is piss poor. How can I wire the Cat-5...
