I knew a guy who had a piece of that as a desk pad. This was 30 years or so ago, so was (I think) real glass and unbelievably heavy.

Don't forget the glass cutter. I think every old tool box I ever bought has at least one.

A few years ago, I bought a box from a single picture on an auction. It looked like it was practically full of various tools. When I sorted through it, every tool was broken. It obviously was used as a trash can for all his broken junk Hoping you have better luck.

Miller Falls 61A spiral ratchet driver. Picked this up this week for $9.00 Feel pretty good about, it’s in very good shape, even the box and envelope the bits were packed in.

I’ma big fan of online auctions. There is no way I can stand for hours at a regular auction, with bad back and knees. I don’t buy many expensive things. My wife always laughs at me for spending more on gas to go pick up, than I spent on tools.

I picked this up last week and can’t find any info about it. There are no markings that I can find. It seems really well built. Any ideas of who made it, or where to look for more info? Thanks

Yep, definitely cut up and welded back together. Looks like maybe seconds that were rejected and somebody had some fun. 🔨

Probably is welded. In person looks more like thick, sloppy paint. I’ll take them off the board and investigate further.

I haven’t taken them off the board they are mounted on, but they don’t look welded. First impression is they are forged or however hammers are made. 🤷‍♂️
