    Craftsman/Sears, Vise ID by Catalog

Outlaw I came across this Dunlap 5230 on ebay, see above post. Looks like Sears may have made a 5230 after all. I couldn't find it in any of the catalogues. I wonder how rare it is? Also the one on ebay only had three holes total on the jaws. Interesting. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

    Craftsman radial 100

Looks just like one of mine which is a 1959, too. Great price. There was a recall on these where you could get $100 for returning the motor (I believe) so you are in the black for sure! Congrats on your purchase. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

Thanks Outlaw, I'll try the main site. Yeah, I figured the holes were for some sort of clamp but wasn't sure if the vise was manufactured that way. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

I have a 5230 and it has several holes on top of the jaws. Are they suppose to be there? I'll post pictures as soon as I get my son to sleep for his nap.

Shawnn: is that a scroll/jig saw next to the drill press? What brand is it? Can you post a pic? I love both the band saw and drill. What year is the band saw? Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

Getting that real shine on drill press posts

I just cleaned up a delta and I used different grades of sandpaper starting with 100 grit and working up to 400 grit. I wrapped the sandpaper around the post and sanded like I was polishing shoes. I finished up by spraying T-9 on to protect it against flash rust. Hope this helps. Sent from my...
