hello all. just happened to put together a small woodworking bench and smoker table. yeah, i know table isn't the same but it'll get a lot of work done with it too...lol used plans from the net for the inexpensive woodworking table.. only thing is the vise that got ordered was a lite duty vise...

well finally got ceiling fan mounted and some blinds.. for the most part done except for walling in the bathroom, intalling a utility sink, point of use water heater and running water lines... here is a pic with ceiling fan and blinds... this project is taking a while.. :) as always comments...

yes it's a rigid stand.. msuv something or the other... it works very well. the large wheels make it easy to roll across soft ground. and it sets up quick.. very stabil.... i just wish it had more mounting brackets so i could use it for more than the miter saw. the saw is also a ridgid 4121 i...

thanks... the toliet is going to get turned sideways so when i wall it and the window by it into a small restroom it won't intrude into the main room much...i'll be able to save a foot or better doing it.. (also have an exhaust fan to put in at that time..wire was run for the bathroom). was...

it's been a while... got it drywalled, mudded and painted.....decided to use knock down for the ceiling and orange peel for the walls...after doing so i believe my mud job would have been fine.. guess i should have primered it first before texture to see how it looked... anyhow in the next few...

so far bought recondioned milwaukee hammer drill....bolt fell out of it first time i used it...bought a reconditoned dewalt radio/charger....didn't charge and rattled when shook...opened it up and it had a double handfull of the screws used to put it together stuck to the speaker...

can you take some diamond plate or something similar and cut it for width and length and attach it with a piano style hinge? that way you could just flip it up and into the room when it's not needed and not make an obstacle in the outside walkway....the hinge would also hold it in place and keep...

like the open grate design? i think racedeck makes it? or am i way off? would be interested in hearing about it.....i'm in northern il...so it occasionally gets cold... thanks

thanks for the answers guys... i guess it wouldn't be bad...now that you mention it my laminate flooring in the kitchen is the same way... for some reason it was really noticeable the other day on the two pieces i had...course an empty garage probably amplified it...

surely someone has noticed this? what does the floor sound like when walked on for those who have installed this stuff?

plastic type flooring sound in your garage? got some samples of flooring today...had inquired about racedeck and swiss trax...(could be misspelled). anyhow snapped them together and walked on them and it has a ringing hollow plastic sound... does this go away when they are all snapped in place...

i've got a 22 by 24 with 16 can lites and it lites it up real nice...i'd get the ones you can mount in insulation if you ever do drywall and insulate.

and when i say i just put them up.....the drywall just got hung...like yesterday... its a work in progress...

i just put in can lites and they are very bright...they lite the garage up nicely...i even went overkill and put in outlets close to the ceiling in places where i may put a bench if i needed extra lite and i don't think that will be a problem....

its been a while since the last post. i got gravel down, put in a breaker box, wired the lites and outlets, insulated the ceiling, vented the soffits, removed the furnace chimney and got drywall up for the ceiling and furred out around the headers for the walls when i drywall them... i lost...

forgot that when we raised the roof it pulled in the sidewalls ...one was good but the other was out 1 1/2" in four foot.... added the following in edit. sorry saw that i'd already mentioned the walls....in previous post we'd raised the roof 3 plus inches and let building settle for a few days...
