    Void under the concrete

I don’t know for sure there is a void but knowing how they backfill around basements without compacting so it doesn’t push on the walls and that you have to come back years later and fill in what has settled I’m assuming there’s a void. Also looking under the house along the same basement wall...

    Void under the concrete

All I know about it is what I’ve read online so I appreciate your insight. The garage floor has not dropped or even cracked so I thought the foam may be a less costly way to fill the void to help keep water out.

    Void under the concrete

I’ve thought about drilling holes along the wall and doing something like that but I have no idea how much it will take. I think that product could get pretty expensive. I know some mud Jack businesses use an expanding foam that’s supposed to be more stable. Can’t find a DIY kit or any info to...

    Void under the concrete

I have a crack in my basement wall that weeps when we have a hard rain. Theirs an attached garage and a small room that border the wall. I’ve crawled under the room part and can tell the ground has settled from where the basement was dug. I assume it’s also settled under the garage floor. Is...

My dream garage project:Interior paint advice wanted.

I used ceiling white on the ceiling and walls of my first garage thinking the brighter the better but It was too bright. Eye strain would set in after an hour or two. Ended up repainting the walls to tone it down some.

What would you do? Tandem or seperate shop?

I've had both on different properties. Noise and fumes are the main downside to attached. We raced at the time and had small children. Often times I had to schedule work around nap and bed times as quarter mile cars seem to be loud, you could even feel the vibrations though the house. We have a...

Yes, There will be a Secret Santa 2015

Not too many people will sign up to run such a project so cuto's to Blacknwhitepit for spending the time and effort to organize this. Unfortunately, I would need to fill pages of quick ramblings to get enough posts to qualify. Guess I'll be living vicariously though everyone else. Have fun!

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Pulled the motor out of monster cart. The son that built it is off at college and my Dad has some "undisclosed" plan for it. URL=http://s1376.photobucket.com/user/Myskunkape8u/media/Mobile%20Uploads/2015-10/9B895DDE-B973-4210-9140-068549ACFCEF_zpsklucgik0.jpg.html][/URL]

    Show me your ANVIL

It was part of a locomotive shops bridge crane. We bought it from a scrap iron guy who scrapped out the shop before it was torn down. We've had it around thirty years or so. Oh, and we move it a fork truck when needed.

    The shack in the back

Had a couple tornados on the ground within 5 miles of us. Luckily didn't hit any towns and caused little damage. We did see Reid Timmer and his group from storm chasers in town. His Facebook page has a short video of one of the tornados forming.

122 year old house and garage: Rehab

To bad it's closed/moved. They had rows and rows of restored and unrestored pumps of all kinds along with metal signs, lighted signs etc, etc. Just a really cool place.

122 year old house and garage: Rehab

Is Vic's still in Guthrie? I know he sold out years ago but don't know if they closed that location. He restored old gas pumps and had a huge selection of both original and reproduction parts available. Well worth walking through just to gawk if it's still open.

    The shack in the back

Weather finally warmed up enough to cut the outside skin to make the door useful. Hired a couple of clowns to do the heavy lifting. also changed out the walk door as the frame was rotting at the bottom. Added a combination door lock so I dont have to keep going back to the house when I...
