    HVAC options and ideas

Forgive me if I use the wrong terms, not an HVAC guy. I will not be doing the install but would like to be educated on my options so I don't end up with something I will be unhappy with. Here is what I have. 165' x 60' Morton building. It is nearly 25 years old. 45 x 60 on the east end is 4...

    Lets talk walk-behind floor scrubbers

After shopping for a used one for while I pulled the trigger on this one. https://www.cleanfreak.com/equipment/floor/scrubbers/walk-behind/dura-18-cord-electric-automatic-floor-scrubber.html I used to rent one regularly for spring cleaning but thought it would be nice to have permanently. It...

    Best 6 x 48 Belt Sander?

They put a wear pad of some sort on it to protect the steel I suppose. It wore into a wavy mess over time making it nearly useless for truing up a straight edge.

    Best 6 x 48 Belt Sander?

I like that one from ******** better than the Kalamazoo but have not used either one. I have a variable speed Burr King 760 and I love that feature. Hopefully tricktools has the ******** one at PRI next weekend, I would like to see it. I wonder what drives the contact wheel on the ********...

Why is round material available in pipe and inch/mm sizing ?

Pipe is measured on the ID. Tube is measured on the OD. Are you asking why both of those exist?

Tools for sanding a bunch of stainless tube?

The aluminum is a pair of alternator nose cone dress up things I had laying around. The wheel is urethane. It is all on a universal drive mandrel with a 1/4-20 bolt.....again, all stuff I had laying around. I cobbled it for something I wanted to do and 4 years later I still use it. It tracks...

Tools for sanding a bunch of stainless tube?

I don't have any experience with the 150 dollar ones but I cobbled together a drive wheel for my long shank die grinder and do it like this.

    Input on new tool box(es)/storage.

If you are happy with your KRL, I would add a pair of lockers to it. If you don't have to lock your stuff up, you can build a simple structure and put up some wall control pegboard between the two lockers.

    Wheel Stands - Stackable.

Meh. Build the ones out of 2x4s they are cheap, more than adequate, lightweight, and easy to store. There is no downside. I have a set here. I built them for a total of 12" tall (at the bottom of the tire) but they are two separate pieces, the first stack goes to 6"

    Wheel Stands - Stackable.

You build the 2x4 stands in two halve that interlock. Lift to the first stack and then crib the jack up or use a block and then go to the second stack. I feel that 12" is the perfect height for wheel stands.

Helios floor lights, anyone have one?

Never saw that before but I hate stuff on the floor. Here is another way to solve the problem. 3 of my 4 guys bought one and they where them all day. https://store.snapon.com/Headlamps-Rechargeable-Hands-Free-Neck-Light-P935682.aspx

LED Retrofitting a LOT of T12 T8 fixtures

Being at half life on the ballast hadn't crossed my mind, thank you for that insight. All of this is surface mounted. Conduit is in the wall for the switches but sweeps out at the ceiling and runs either to a pull box or directly to a fixture. I have easy access to take it all down and...
