What did you do "IN" your garage today?

The ‘64 I had did not have power steering, but I bought it in high school and it was not in the best shape when I bought it. I think I replaced 5 water pumps in 5 years and could probably do it in my sleep by then. The worst job was replacing the entire exhaust system- of course it was in the...

    Montgomery Ward rolling chest age/value?

Mongtomery “Monkey” Ward. Brings back memories from when I was a kid and into my teens. I would do as some have suggested and just clean it up and perhaps go ahead and/or restore it to your liking.

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Nice new brake. Not a metal worker but one summer while in college I worked at a large oil refinery and spent part of the summer working in their big shop complex. It included a large area for the pipe fitters and boiler makers, another shop area for the welders, and connected to that large...

    Painting Popcorn Ceiling?

As opposed to some, I don’t mind the look- but my wife hates it. So we know what that means. As stated above, if you paint with a roller or brush go very light first because if it gets wet it will start coming off. I know. I have also removed it multiple times and do not enjoy doing that...

I live in Florida, do I want gas?

Never wanted to deal with something that scratches so easily or requires the pan to have magnetic qualities. Besides, gas is dirt cheap.

    Sam’s Club -VS- Costco

We belong to both. We also have belonged to both when living in another state. They are similar, but we have always preferred Costco. Both have good gasoline prices when they have pumps, regardless of whether you use their card or not. We have and Executive Costco membership with Costco (it...

I live in Florida, do I want gas?

Natural Gas is cheap here. Both of our hot water heaters are gas. Our stove is gas and prefer it that way. In my opinion it is the best way to cook. Our dryer is also gas- it is efficient.

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Cleaned front windshield on one car inside and out and then took the car out and washed it. Took a quick drive through the neighborhood to check progress on some new builds. Rearranged some things in the garage and put away the car wash paraphernalia and hung rags and mitts to dry. Sat at the...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

When younger I played competitive softball and was always surprised that some guys would start drinking that early. I don’t recall that any of my teammates did but it was not uncommon in the big tournaments. It really surprised me that I also saw that in some of the tournaments which were...

Any Baratza Coffee Grinder Owners Here???

I have never had a burr grinder and when younger wanted one but couldn’t justify the cost (wife would have had a cow too). I have however had better coffee makers. My favorite was my Norwegian made Wilfa. It lasted about 11 or 12 years and was the best coffee maker I have ever had. I am...

I have the Husky and like it. When I bought it you could not get wheels with it and if needed would have to do it yourself.
