Gotcha. It's not a bad idea that would be pretty simple to implement. Aluminum plate, with aluminum angle welded to the underside to catch the edges of the pits and "lock it in" to the hole is probably how I would tackle it. Maybe in the future. :rocker:

One thing to keep in mind is that the transmission jack will 3 wheel no problem. If you drop one wheel over the pit you wouldn't even notice it. If you drop two wheels over then you would have issues. Yes I could have probably spaced the lifts farther apart, I simply followed the manufacturers...
