Koken Surface drive vs Flat drive sockets

I bought a few many years ago to try them out. 10, 12mm in 1/4sq and 14, 17mm in 3/8sq. I quickly found out I prefer to use a standard 6/12pt profile because of the extra play/rotation that comes with quickly ratcheting a fastener on/off. That said, when using it on a power tool, like an...

Adding these photos to show what can happen. Whenever this happens, I clamp the blade in a vise and tap the handle back in with a mallet. It still maintains zero play, and as far as I can tell, the blade doesn't become any more looser.

I've found the stubby Anex to be my go-to for a few years now. Got the two stubby ones 9 years ago and I've added the others in the series over time. I didn't have the need for the latest pair, but I wanted a change. The Anex ones have proven themselves time and time again. 👍🏻 On a related...

Im a bit surprised to see the plating process being shown. I think it an area that's typically not shown to media? I recently decided to complete Anex's series on their trim clip removers. I spent the whole week using them and I've made my choice .... the PB Swiss will go into retirement...

Why cant I attach more than one photo when using GJ through my cell phone?

Thank you for your insight. I just attached multiple images without issue. The only difference this time is I'm using Chrome for my browser.

Why cant I attach more than one photo when using GJ through my cell phone?

Perhaps its a Samsung browser issue. Reloading the page doesn't make a difference and there's never an error message either. In fact, as a test, im trying to attach a photo on this very post, but nothing happens. 🥲

Why cant I attach more than one photo when using GJ through my cell phone?

I was only able to attach one photo in a post I made this morning. I tried to attach more once I was able to attach one, but clicking the image icon above or the "attach files" button below provides no response. Im using a Samsung phone and its default Samsung internet app. Any ideas?

Ko-ken Tools -- What Makes this Brand Special !?!?

I feel like I've known about HJE for practically as long as I've been on GJ. Some year back, I recall their website gave us a glimpse of their multi-level store via a virtual tour, but a video like this is much welcomed! I saw them as one of the few brick and mortar stores left in the USA that...

Ko-ken Tools -- What Makes this Brand Special !?!?

First post in 12 months :hellobye: (a bit of a nostalgic feel, seeing that these classic GJ emoticons are still available :bounce:) Random photo showing a Ko-ken 11mm bit holder with their T60 bit. That bit has seen some good use from doing wheel bearing bolts.

I think I've purchased most of my Asahi tools through i-Tools via Rakuten Ichiba. It wasn't until a few years ago that Asahi added 9, 16, 18mm sizes. There still isn't a 20mm though. ;) Do you have standard impact sockets in your storage/tool box that have developed surface rust? I don't have...

Haven't seen it. My comments on these: GoJaks are great. Used a lot at my previous shop where there were over 20+ techs. It handled going over ruts and small lips on entry ramps pretty well. Must've been used for at least 5 years, without a hiccup. Current shop with just 13 techs has OTC ones...

I haven't used my 4711x in forever, but I did have a period of time when I used it frequently. I did do a demo video of it: I demonstrated loosening lug nuts that were (freshly) torqued to 80ftlb, with ease. video description: A unique tool from a Japanese hand tool manufacturer called...

There we go! Just when I was talking about AIGO locking pliers, you delivered! You even got another exampled of MIJ locking pliers! I didn't know Taiyo Seiko made them (assuming they did at one point). I wonder what era that one is from? Thanks for sharing.
