I did something similar with a pipe ****** and elbow. Sure, the oil doesn't get changed often, but I got tired of the GD mess it made when the oil dribbled everywhere. Actually, now that I think of it, what is the recommended oil change interval for IR compressors? Isn't it like once a year ?

We have some white amur to help to keep down vegetation. They are sterile and can't reproduce. Aeration would be good. I should do that to our pond. Not sure about solar, but I have seen little "windmill" type air pumps. (dang, JeepYJ beat me to it)

20 is too short. 24 is minimum, and in my opinion, the sweet spot.

That is how it was plumbed in my last house. Boiler was required to be operational year around, if you wanted hot water for showers, etc.

I'm with JuncleJohn - I have 3 also. For me, personally, I can't imagine being without significant compressed air. That said, I do have friends who get by with skimpier air compressors. One in particular only works on late model cars (no rust), doesn't restore anything, all tools battery...

Epoxy. If you apply sealant, you will never be able to epoxy over it. I am currently living with the previous owner's decision to seal the barn concrete, and the epoxy that I applied over it has pretty much no adhesion. Looks like he##.
