    Pole vs Stick vs metal?

As others have said that seems really cheap. I'm no building expert or price expert but I just spend 40k on a 40x60 pole building without concrete. I wish I could have had 4 buildings your size on my property for the same price. I love my metal pole building as a "shop" on my 5 acre property...

    Replacing Underground Water Supply Line

I had a sprinkler line break and I plan on replacing it with the black poly line mentioned above. I could see where it was leaking when I turned on the sprinklers. I think it is a no brainer if you can see where it is leaking, dig up the line and fix the break. I have a small tractor/backhoe so...

Do you have a link to what to you are referring to? The shop is there just isn't updated on google maps. I never thought about running water from the shop to the sprinkler. Seems I would still have the same problem of needing a wye to run to the sprinklers and me still bring ignorant of how to...

Water to shop and sprinkler system

I have some questions about running water to my shop. Right now I have a line that goes from the well house to some sprinklers on the hill where the previous owner use to keep all his trees and flowers for his landscaping business. The line was broke because when we would turn the sprinklers...

    Question about final Payment/Inspection

The builder just finished up my 40x60 shop and I am still waiting on the concrete slab and dispersion trench before the county will buy off the building. When I signed the contract the builder said I could use rock and could do the concrete later which wasn't the case when the county came back...

Leveling site for a pole barn??

I just had a 40x60 pole building put up and spent money on a good grading. If I had to do it again I would have left it alone. My spot was sloped front to back so a dozer brought in a lot of fill dirt to level it out. I had to had about 12-18in in one corner and about 6 on most of the low side...

    overhead door size

I took everyone's advice on here on my 40x60, went with a 18x10, 10x10 10x10 and 12x12. While I'm sure the big doors will be nice, you will be paying and the doors are big... This is going to be my only garage for a while so I probably won't have doors for a bit and the doors will be more...

    Got a Spray Foam Estimate

I got one estimate back for fiberglass, it was rough over the phone but he said around 5k for r19 on the walls and ceiling. I told him about the metal ceiling and he said they would blow in 18in ( I believe) for around 1400. So foam the walls for 5k or get the whole building done for 5k or...

    Got a Spray Foam Estimate

It is about 13ft to the trusses and he said if I didn't want to do the triangle on the both gable ends it would save me about 600. Not sure if it would be worth it if I am putting a ceiling up eventually? I'm at work so don't have access to my one drive, but here a couple of older pictures from...

    Got a Spray Foam Estimate

yea he seems like a used car salesman. I know everyone on here likes spray foam, but depending on the cost of the fiber estimate I would probably have to go with that. I am just worried about the building sweating. The foam guy was making such a big deal about it saying all the buildings sweat...

    Got a Spray Foam Estimate

I got my 40x60 building up. I have had 2 people come out and take a look for insulation options. Haven't heard back from the fiberglass but I got a quote for spray foam.... To do the just the walls 2in they want $5k. I have the vapor barrier on the roof and they said it would need to be taken...

    Ceiling white metal

Thanks for the great info guys. I found a place called champion metal and will call them on monday to see what they offer. I'm just researching insulating my building and a ceiling might not be possible because my trusses are 12ft and are not rated for the load of the ceiling. Still have tons...

    Ceiling white metal

Why would anyone buy and use the metal for 20-30$ when drywall is like around 10-12$?? http://www.homedepot.com/p/Sheetrock-Firecode-Core-5-8-in-x-4-ft-x-8-ft-Gypsum-Board-14211011308/100321591?MERCH=REC-_-PIPHorizontal1_rr-_-203768542-_-100321591-_-N

    Ceiling white metal

Is this the stuff everyone is using for the ceiling in their pole buildings and blowing in insulation on top of it? I have a 40x60 Is there another type of panel I should be looking at, is this the "budget" celing...

    Started 40x60 Shop Kitsap

I will take a look at the drawings. I plan on just screwing the panels right into the trusses and if they need some support maybe adding something long ways. I really didn't want to add the extra expense, I just figured that the metal wasn't that heavy and small led lights wouldn't be a problem...

    Started 40x60 Shop Kitsap

What does this mean? and why couldn't I put some metal panels on the trusses that they are using? I don't think I want to wait for new trusses to be built

    Started 40x60 Shop Kitsap

They are about a week into my shop and wanted to post some pictures with updates. Once I got passed the stormwater stuff with the county the permit was pretty easy. Gonna end up having to do a 34ft 2x2 dispersion trench that runs in my back pasture. Also when I had a dozer come in there was an...
