Anvil prices seem to vary by location. In the rust belt they seem to be pretty fair priced. As you go south or west they seem to get higher. It also depends on size, brand and condition. A 350 lb. plus Hay Budden or Peter Wright may bring $8-10/ lb all day long while a 100 lb no name may bring...

Not really for the home garage but they make industrial & commercial, agricultural and restaurant fans in Jacksonville Florida. Motors are Baldor...practically everything else is made in house since 1928...still owned by the same family (3rd generation with 4th generation also working there)

I used galvanized and have had no issues for 9 years now. I have drains and filters. All of my "drops" come off the top of the pipe. I would try the flexible plastic if I built another shop.

I just started a new job 3 weeks ago after leaving Caterpillar after 18 years. The new company is family owned (3rd generation) and been in the same location since 1928. We have quite a few vises located throughout the 200k sq ft plant. I'm going to ask the owner if I can take pics to post here...
