I definitely agree with you on the por15. Comes off in sheets is right! Im leaning toward good old fashioned Rustoleum flat black or satin. And yea your right that rhinoliner would def get dirty. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using Tapatalk

I already had the left side set up with hooks and gear. PLUS.... its coming back to me now.... The welder service panel opens on the left side. So project piles would be in the way if i had a birds nest happen. [emoji15] Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using Tapatalk

Anybody documented the benefits of filling an undersized gate post?

I would have liked to go with a six inch load post and a 4-inch latch post. However then I was sacrificing this space between the posts and I can just barely fit my car trailer through it now. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using Tapatalk

Anybody documented the benefits of filling an undersized gate post?

Lol. So let me guess? You make no mistakes and engineer all projects to perfection before you start? I was at the mercy of what materials were available to me at the time. So i made a decision and went with it. Plus, neither post in my case is undersized. I was speaking for others. Ive...

Anybody documented the benefits of filling an undersized gate post?

Lol. Thanks man! And great you posted the specs!! As for loading the concrete into the pipe: I used a large funnel(cut in half 5gal deer park jug) mixed the concrete on the more slushy side and then had my girlfriend bang on the post with a mallet as I loaded the funnel up. Filled up no...

    Harbour Frieght welder cart mod

Just wanted to share a picture of my Harbor Freight welder/plasma cutter cart that I installed a folding work table onto. If you're looking for a decent cart you can't beat this one for the money . If I had more time and fabrication ability I would certainly love to just make my own... but...

The load post is 4" SS40 (supposed to be stronger than sch40. And not sure on latch post, but the wall is .120 (3) #4 rebar in load post and only 1 #4 in latch post Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using Tapatalk

Anybody documented the benefits of filling an undersized gate post?

Or.... brace it to the block wall next to it with 1/4" angle iron and fill the pipe with concrete/rebar. Beats jack hammering out a brand new 6" slab section and then the 2 cu ft. Of concrete in the hole beneath the slab. Now if I could turn back time? I would have went sch. 40 instead...

Anybody documented the benefits of filling an undersized gate post?

Nah, nobody expressed interest so i figured why waste my time. Lol. I did however take a before video of the moment and vibration characteristics of the post before filling. So after it has cured some in a few weeks ill do another video to show the difference and post it here. Keep in tune...

Recommendations on what to coat my new gate with?

Yea i totally agree with you guys on the flat black paint. I thought it looked better and covered up the imperfections in my welds, so i went with it. But after seeing slight surface rust in areas already I'm definitely going to take the boards back off and recoat it with probably Rhino liner...
