    Sanity check on Sub-Panel wiring

I have never wired a sub-panel before and looking for a sanity check. When I finished my basement I had the contractor install a 50 amp breaker in my main panel and I ran 6 gauge wiring up into my garage. In the panel I have 2 20amp circuits for additional outlets and 1 20 amp circuit for a...

Anyone have experience with Westcoat epoxy flooring?

A local contractor uses this brand and I want to get some second opinions. They look mostly like a commercial brand and not really consumer or DIY focus. https://www.westcoat.com/

Need help in buying a Cordless Impact-Wrench

This x1000. I bought the Dewalt 1/2" cordless impact (DCF899) a couple of months ago and love it. The other day I had to change 4 tires on my boat tailer parked outside. Piece of cake.

$149.99 SafeRacks 4'x8' Overhead Garage Storage Rack

word of advice. Ditch the garbage lag screws that come with the shelves and get some decent ones. I had three break off while driving into the ceiling joist and another one broke off just putting some light weight on it. After that I replaced all of them.

Does a large garage or quality out building increase your property value?

I was at a car show over the weekend and overheard someone say "it becomes a hobby when you no longer care about the monetary value." I think this applies here. If you build your garage with the expectation that it is a hobby, and therefore the monetary value is irrelevant, you will not be...

Does a large garage or quality out building increase your property value?

^This. I work in the real estate valuation industry and see this every day. Max value is typically achieved by conforming to normal neighborhood standards. This can be affected by both land size and improvements on the land (bed count, bath count, gross living area, condition etc). Being...

    Opinions on refinishing a playhouse?

What is the difference (if any) of a solid stain and a log cabin stain? I am assuming that I need to avoid big box store brands. I have had good experiences with Sherwin Williams. Ever work with their Superdeck? And with a solid color lord stain I assume that I don't need to completely remove...

    Opinions on refinishing a playhouse?

Looks good! I was hoping to avoid sanding the whole thing but it looks like I might have to. Probably will need to disassemble parts of it to make it easier. I was considering using some kind of deck restore but read so many people that had poor results. Thanks for the suggestion I will take a...

    Opinions on refinishing a playhouse?

Hi folks, longtime lurker here. I love this forum because of the vast expertise so I thought I would float out a random project I will be doing this summer. This playhouse came with the home I bought and my son is now old enough to use it. As you can see from the picture it needs a little work...
