I have the 3/8 fuel impact and its almost perfect for taking off brake calipers, brackets and some smaller suspension bolts, sway bar links, etc... It fits in places where upcoming mid torque probably won't be able to fit but i still might buy mid torque to go along with 3/8 and 1/2 high torque.

Actually its not sloppy at all, its a tight fit. Maybe it looks sloppy because of the shadows... But it protects the tool so that's all that matters. And its only 24$ from hd.

Older boot fits pretty well so i never bothered looking for new one.

Is that even available anywhere? Milwaukee tool website shows older generation boot when i search for this boot number...

second generation, only difference is that first generation had a bolt connecting two sides of the tool on the top and second generation is completely round. Boot still fits without any problems.

How do you guys scan penny items and paying for it without an attendant coming over to clear the 1penny/cent error? I had to wait till lady called her manager and finally she entered $5 and i gladly paid for it and left.

Yeah that boot item number is misleading , not a really big deal since tools are so similar.

Oh... I didn't even pay attention at the shape of the boot when i was ordering it along with 1/2 impact boot, they both said fuel impact so i just got them. I just might keep this one since it still fitts pretty well.

So i got my impact boots, 1/2 inch impact boot fits perfectly. Boot for the 3/8 compact fits but its a first gen boot because second gen 3/8 impact doesn't have that bolt on the top. And that was only boot available for 3/8 impact at home depot website. Is yours the same?
