I drilled out the new 3/8 anvil. The anvil has to slide on a pin within the impact. It fits perfect

The torque is great with the 3/8 anvil. And it is easy to swap out the old one if problem arises. I use this impact a lot. No problems. For the price and warranty, I've been impressed. Maybe Ridgid should make a 3/8 impact.

Masonry bit is because the anvil is tool steel. Very hard stuff. Only bit I can fine that worked. The disadvantage to the adapter is you lose a lot of torque with those. And they break.

To do it you need a 9mm carbide tipped masonry drill bit. Drill it 10mm deep. The anvil to use is a Milwaukee 3/8 drive anvil. Let me find the part number

So I posted a question a while ago about modifying a Ridgid Gen 5 1/4" impact to 3/8 drive. Well it is possible. And pretty easy too! And works awesome!

I saw that link already. It looks kind of janky. It might work. I think I may have found a anvil that will work. Just have to modify it a little. But any other ideas are welcome. Thanks!

I have those adaptors. I have broken couple. And you lose a lot of torque with those adaptors. It's just a matter of finding the anvil the fits the best. Then you may have to modify it a little. Thanks though
