Hey guys. Hoping you guys can help me. I have a Ridgid Gen 5X 1/4 impact. I'm looking into modifying it into a 3/8 drive. Has anyone done this or seen it done. I feel it should be able to be done fairly easy. Let me know.
Thanks

I don't know how you would easily do it short of a 1/4" hex to a 3/8" square.

I have those adaptors. I have broken couple. And you lose a lot of torque with those adaptors. It's just a matter of finding the anvil the fits the best. Then you may have to modify it a little. Thanks though

Not something you are going to find on the shelf. It would be a fun project, but as I think through it, it will be a lot of work. Hope you have some machine tools and heat treating equipment ready.

It has been done here on Garage Journal. I'll try to find the link.

I saw that link already. It looks kind of janky. It might work. I think I may have found a anvil that will work. Just have to modify it a little. But any other ideas are welcome. Thanks!
