I found this recently and a quick search gave me the impression that someone may actually need this. I felt like this would be the best place to start.

 So the 9/16 5/8 DBE is supposed to be an 1130. I didn't grab this for the bends, but because I knew the number is funky. Internet didn't give me any clues, EDIT ok forget it Roy already solved it: https://garagejournal.com/forum/showpost.php?p=8040276&postcount=6946

The little mirror and handle make me think my moms make-up case she had when I was a kid. It also had a lock, not combination lock though

    $16 @ An Estate Sale

Live in one house for 75 years. Most people nowadays get tired of the same house in 6 months. Crazy how times change in culture. Amazing tools. and a great price!

    11b30b4’s Wilton C-0 rebuild

I was looking at your project the wrong way and didn't realize you were doing it for the sport of it(different context, totally OK) Well I might as well learn something, any chance you could update this thread with your method on how you ended up removing the pins once you finish the project? :D

    11b30b4’s Wilton C-0 rebuild

I really hope you don't take this maliciously or the wrong way, but sometimes I think people take the teardown and restoration of these things way too far. Clean it, drill a hole in your bench until you find a base, bolt it down and use it. There doesn't appear to be any constructive use to...

Help me choose a Vintage Toolchest

There are folks on here that are true collectors--they set goals for themselve--and are willing to pay good money to achieve those goals. I understand that's just part of being a hobbyist. However in my opinion you are "needing" a box more than "wanting" a box. If those boxes aren't some kind of...

What is this snap-on box worth?

Well if he still has it I'll find out today what he thinks it's worth. It sounds like offloading this on CL for double my cost isn't really gonna happen--which is how I justify buying things I genuinely don't need. It also sounds like these from this era are far from rare, which makes me want it...

    Bell system

(kinda related to that phone and how it doesn't need to say Made in USA) I'm so young I find it weird to live in a world where 80-90% of tools and stuff are made here in our home country. I grew up in a world where it's the opposite.

    Vintage Snap-on Box

Although the color is kinda dated, I grow tired of the whole "Red Snap-on box", "Red Ferrari" thing. Every one you see thats old is the same color. Kinda nice to see an outlier.
