Who has the oldest Snap-On tool box?

You are correct- I found my old thread when I got it- it is a K-33, in the 38 & 39 catalogs. It was the tote that came with it that is in the '29 catalog. https://www.garagejournal.com/forum/threads/snap-on-k-33-red-cap-chest-and-kt-1-tote.222733/

Heat / cool garage from duct feeding kitchen above?

What do you mean by fire wall? As far as I know- it's a normal wall between my garage and my basement- 2x4 and sheetrock. ...and it has outlets and switches in it. Please elaborate.

Heat / cool garage from duct feeding kitchen above?

My furnace / central air is on the other side of the wall from my 2 car garage. My kitchen is above the garage. The ducts coming out the floor in the kitchen are on the ceiling of my garage. Any reason I can't just tap into the duct work and put a vent & grate on the lower side to feed the...

Just installed a Race Deck floor...

I don't care what car I'm lifting, this never gets old!! Just left has earned/save me so much money over the years it is not even funny. And since the price of one new just keeps going up, the price of a used one retains if not gains value. Before going detecting with a buddy last weekend we...

Just installed a Race Deck floor...

I’m happy with how it turned out. The camera doesn’t take a good picture of it. Most people do something like a 50s diner checkerboard, but I wanted to be a little more creative. The floor is patterned after the tartan plaid seats used in Volkswagen GTI‘s. I’ve owned Volkswagens since...

Who has the oldest Snap-On tool box?

I am in the middle of a garage makeover and I have a snap-on 'red cap' box that dates from old catalogs to the late 1920's. I'll probably hold onto it until it hits the earliest reference to this unit to be 100 years old just for fun. Anyone else?

Bought an old small compressor today.

I love this little thing. It is such a weird combination of simplicity, crudeness and quality all at the same time. Here are a few more photos as I put the pump back together. You can see the dip wire on the bottom of the connecting rod, and above it the hole in the connecting rod for lube...

Bought an old small compressor today.

Degreased the pump inside and out. Made the decision I am not going to paint any of this, whatever remaining paint will remain which is amazing because the pump itself was originally painted the same blue as the tank but very very little was remaining but was also just silver covered with...
