Where I work at does stamping and molding, our tool room has a Torit unit for all the grinders and it works great.

I run a 50 amp breaker and 6 GA wire for my welder and am currently wiring a 40 amp with 8 GA wire for my air compressor. The idea is I could also run a smaller welder on the 40 amp circuit if I am doing sheet metal mig work. Both outlets will have 50 amp plugs.

I do a lot of metal work, cutting and grinding and now plasma cutting, handheld and eventually CNC. What are some recommendations for metal dust collection. I do not want to spend $1000+ on a Torit or Grizzly system. Would the cheaper 1 hp or 2hp dust collectors meant for wood working work...

It's cool in a video but I bet it ***** to work in. I think a 20x20 is about as small as you want to go.

Sounds like you need adequete ventilation and a good respirator. I'd rather do the sanding disc method. I did use this years ago to strip a mountain bike frame, it took many coatings because I think it was powdercoated but it worked...

Nice job so far! Some nice parts on this build, and good choice on the 4L80E, better to change now then after the first burnout when the 700R4 would have broken.

I've used a Northern tool Ironton and Lincoln SP135T, both worked fine, but I bought an Everlast Tig and haven't looked back.

I love my gas lens set up as well, especially for round tubing, I'm a beginner and it makes a big difference seeing the puddle
