    Garage Build Questions

Side mount all the way. As mentioned, a lot cleaner look. I have a row off 4 can lights over my cabinet/countertop area and 4 regular lights evenly spaced in the ceiling. All the lights are on their separate switch; I can control how much light I need.

What kind of tools have you found in the road??

Found a Dewalt 20v LED light in the road. Picked up a Dewalt 20v angle grinder. When I was picking up Bagsters for WM somebody threw away a brand-new Porter Cable table saw complete with a owner's manual. I couldn't fit it in the cab of my truck so to the landfill it went.

Thanks for all the options guys, I currently mow the sides and the center when needed. I guess I just need more company to push the weeds down.

Who has a gravel driveway/road that they maintain?

Alder grows in clumps like a bush but get 15'-20' tall. these are some that are somewhat separated and will be cut down. I cut the one on the right already. This is a picture of an area I clear cut to the right of the pine tree. The pine didn't grow well on the right side because of the alder...

Who has a gravel driveway/road that they maintain?

Thanks Guys, I kind of agree with the thought of leaving it grow and cutting it when I cut the grass, which is weekly. The drive is sloped and crowned slightly so it will not develope any muddy spots. The picture I posted doesn't represent a good example of the width of the driveway, it's...

Who has a gravel driveway/road that they maintain?

Just for reference, this is an example of what my driveway used to look like when we first bought it in 2022. The second is what we are looking at now. Hans has me second guessing getting the driveway back to gravel, I was thinking vegetation in the driveway is a bad thing. I could live with...

Who has a gravel driveway/road that they maintain?

Let's ease up on my weed killing plan vs decimating the lake. The driveway ends approx. 300' from the shoreline and there is not any slope to the lake. The driveway isn't a jungle needing chain sawing, I mow the sides and center with a zero turn currently. Using a drag won't work, tried that...

Who has a gravel driveway/road that they maintain?

I'll be going up next weekend and I'll get some pictures. Just for reference, it's an establishing driveway, no need to weed whip/chain saw anything unless something falls across the road. Firebick43, I'll look into Pramitol. Needs to be ani animal safe.

Who has a gravel driveway/road that they maintain?

I have about 800-900ft of gravel driveway/road at the lake that needs some maintenance. We have tons of weeds/grass growing on the driveway and I want to get rid of them. The previous owner lived there full time and kept the weeds down by driving on them, we only go up on weekends and it is...

I need a new HVAC system for the house

The current furnace is 27 years old and finally went out, rather than band-aid it I want to replace it but I am running into some issues with getting quotes. The current model is a Rheem 75,000 BTU unit. I want to go to a high efficiency model and that will require new venting. I've had 4...

Garage door track too high, can't get sheet rock in

I finished my other garage so now I want to insulate and sheetrock the house garage. I am having an issue with the door track being too high and I can't get sheet rock on the ceiling. I searched the web but could not find anything to solve the problem. They have low/zero clearance tacks but it...
