AW-32 vs AW-46 vs ATF for automotive lift application in colder climate

Don't go with 46 or 68 in cold climates. You will have sluggish response and possibly cavitation. I almost exclusively use atf in electric over hydraulic pumps. Works well, more commonly available in quarts versus hydraulic oil.

Question about adding 6' door to a shed

Going through this right now. Converting part of a shed to a chicken brooder. Base your stud location off of the current framing. Don't bother with a level if the shed isn't level. My shed is out of square because of the ground. It's actually a loafing shed with a tack room.

    what is this?

Generic "multitool" for something. Looks to be same quality or lack of on tools provided with a tablesaw or even a bike.

10x10 shed, is the 24 oc stud spacing okay?

Yes, I'd say that's fine but why? Another 30 bucks and you will have better walls to attach your siding or anything else you want to attach to studs inside.

    Milwaukee proper repair advice needed

My milwaukee propex starts to struggle with 1", especially when the pipe is cold. Plumbed my own home, the tool was used but not used up. Glad you were able to repair it. Worth every penny.

Harbor Freight 30 Gallon truck bed compressor

I have one, it's just OK. The vent lines and fuels lines rot pretty quick, the air cleaner lid is not water tight so water gets in carb. The flywheel vibrates alot and has destroyed my diesel transfer tank because it vibrates the hell out of everything. Overall, much better than my previous...

    Correct material for new trailer

You need the modulus of a rectangle tube and the wall thickness to support torsional stress. Anything offroad capable absolutely has to be over built and engineered otherwise the tubing will crack next to the weld joints and any structural mounting point. 1x3 .120 is the minimum I would use if...

    Hobart clearance at Tractor supply.

Every TSC that I've been to has a section towards the rear of the store for clearance and mark down items. Different merchandise all jumbled together.

SDS Max with spade or electric jack hammer. Break up the dirt as needed. Use a square point shovel and a wheelbarrow.

    How Would You Repair (Rollercoaster!)

I think the break probably occurred from vibratory stress as well as expansion and contraction cycles. Lots of steel that move on different planes.

How to convert my 10T manual fixed-ram press to air/hydraulic?

The air over hydraulic unit at harbor freight would work fine I imagine. I am assuming the hand pump you have is "rated" at 10k psi? You may lack some precision with that style of pump. I have a 50 ton Ramco/Carolina that I used with a large pump from Temco. Worked real well.

Don't forget to chain it up to something. It may walk away.

Torque wrench calibration- how often do you send to a service

I rarely use mine, so they never get sent in. However I did buy a Wright 600 pounder that was disassembled. I reassembled it and took it to Fastenal and they sent it off for recalibration. It just depends on what your doing with it.

Hydraulic Ram/Jack for engine hoist questions

Math. Need 8 ton capacity at the fulcrum point to lift 2 tons at end of the lever.

    Diesel engine to hydraulic pump

You need to figure out what SAE number bellhousing will fit, find the correct flange adapter for the pump and the correct coupling that will bolt to the flywheel, and adapt the shafts as well as dampen the connection. Bucket trucks I used to own had 3cyl gas kubota engines adapted to hydraulic...

    Straightening a chainsaw bar?

Bars get straightened all the time by saw shops. Depending on severity and location of bend, may be easier to buy new. Chainsaw bars bend just like any other mild steel.

Tekton Prototype Release - Service Wrench Set

They need more offset so you can have a better chance of sneaking them behind an existing fitting, like on a valve bank.
