Who else collects Snap on ratcheting screwdrivers?

So many great looking screwdrivers in this thread ! I only have 3 screwdrivers plus a black ratcheting 1/4 inch socket driver. Red one is a Dale Earnhardt edition I bought in the mid 90s.

MAC tools - show us your MAC tools!

Yes you're correct on the handle, mine is scalloped/swooshed on both sides of the handle so it's comfy for left handed users too. I did own another AW-434 back in the late 90's with the swoosh only on the left of the the handle and flat on the right like the 232. Think it was a 434 B or C...

MAC tools - show us your MAC tools!

Had a MAC box years ago but the only MAC I own today is my beloved AW-434M...with the oil reservoir in the bottom of the handle I suspect a re-badged IR 232..

    Show your new tool arrivals

Needed a new torque wrench and figured I'd try one of these newer C3 Wera's Only drawback is you need to convert to Newton meters if you want to dial in an accurate or specific setting, the lbs scale is only ballparking it. I like it so far, its comfortable to grip and the scale is very...

6 or 12 point sockets for a small, roadside/trailside tool kit to keep in the truck?

I won't even go near a 12 point socket. I'll fight for a few extra seconds with a 6 point if i have to.

Tools that are useful because they are poorly made?

I made an exhaust spring puller/pusher for my snowmobile out of a crappy large flat screwdriver.

Can anyone recommend a good locking hitch pin?

Think people have had trailers or boats stolen while the latch is still locked to the ball on the receiver. It’s easy to remove a non-locking pin and slide the receiver right out of the hitch while its still attached to the trailer and locked to the ball. Locking the receiver is just as...

Plastic Oil Drain Nut Frozen Solid

Actually do you have a old small screwdriver or something else small you could just get really hot with a propane torch ? That would work too if you don't want to buy an iron.

Plastic Oil Drain Nut Frozen Solid

Same principal as the hack saw idea, i just used a soldering iron so I wouldn't risk hurtIng the aluminum threads on the ATV.

Plastic Oil Drain Nut Frozen Solid

Just “cut” it out with a soldering iron. Make a couple groves with a hot iron to the threads then turn or pry it out with a small screwdriver. Did this with a oil drain plug on a Can-Am ATV

Did I buy a real Record Vise or a cheap new China import?

I don't think its anywhere near 2012, I didn't think Record stamped “Made In England” on their vices in the 2000’s. Usually see just “Sheffield England” stamped on their later stuff. My non-slotted No.6 is stamped 21 so I doubt it’s the year.

    Need help choosing a multimeter

Yeah, Flluke is what I'd get, I bought a little fluke 73-II almost 30 years ago, it sat numerous winters (-40 F some days) in the trunk of the car with the spare tire and has been dropped countless times, It's beat up and ugly but still working fine and still in spec. For around 90...
