    ...and so it begins

Hey Jay... I'm afraid I'm actually going backwards... uggghhh... Previously, I owned 2 places in Wyoming... in the aftermath of my mom's passing, I now own 50% of two other places. My sister and I inherited my mom's residence and a rental. In addition to burning up the highway, my focus last...

    ...and so it begins

Thanks! I need to look back on your thread to see how your fence project turned out. Last I knew, you were making great progress! Just read y'all have had the wettest fall in Seattle's history... maybe you now own a pool?

    ...and so it begins

Hey guys... Thanks for stopping by! Needless to say, the past few months have been pretty busy. I lost track of the number of trips back and forth but, looking at the odometer on both trucks, I've done nearly 30,000 miles in the past year. Hmmm... and I'm supposed to be retired. Anyways, back...

    Between 705 & 1200 SQ/FT Mixed Grill - From London , England - GRIZZMAKES world

Hey Rian... The S-10 is coming along nicely... The wheels and center caps are jewels that set off a beautiful truck! It's great to hear of yet another score of "free money". Except, in my estimation it's far more valuable than you may imagine. Firstly, older lumber has already dried...

    machining class: how to prepare

Years ago I taught a machining class. It's a LOT of fun. Biggest problem I saw in my students was a serious deficiency in MATH. It's definitely not rocket surgery but machining is math. If you need it, brush up! You'll be fine! ...D

    ...and so it begins

Hey Drives... Thanks for checking in! I've definitely been stuck on "Top Dead Center"... No snow drifts... although we did have a repeat of previous winters. We had a bit of snow early on followed by a thaw. Rain in January and early February. The weather really wasn't bad at all...

    Cabinet Layout Thoughts

Sounds like you need/want to use the lower cabinet as a workbench of sorts. IMO, the "L" shaped upper cabinets would significantly limit placing a bandsaw or drill press... and a vice located on the counter top would require a place for you to stand while using it... with accompanying headroom...

Best way to make a round flat recessed hole in aluminum flat stock

A 3/4" dia carbide router bit will work (in your drill press) with no problem! I've even used them in a mill to cut steel. They're relatively durable when cutting aluminum... less so cutting steel... but they do work. You might need to experiment a bit to come up with speeds/feeds that work...

It's amazing how quickly an idea can come to fruition when you have friends! The 3d rendering is perfect! Good thing you were flying under the radar while working on the shift lever... lol... I'm liking the new shift knob. And, I agree with the others... good call on the OEM tail lights. Bit...

Agreed that "bumper mounts" have their limitations but for smallish utility trailers should work OK. Remember the "olden days" before the advent of receiver hitches... bumper mounts were all that was available. I remember my dad having a ball mount that clamped onto the bumper of our '56...
