Yeah ... $2,000 seems high to me. There is a MAC stack of similar vintage listed in Scottsdale, supposedly full of tools, and they have been asking $1,500 for a while with no takers. I agree with the valuation above - ~ $200 per.

I just picked up a late 40's / early 50's (no stamp) KR-53 (pictures in the Vintage Toolbox thread), so I would love to find a matching bottom! Do you mind sharing how much this one is selling for? I am in Phoenix FWIW.

Brought this guy home this week. From my research it's a KR-53 from before 1955 (but after 1953), since I can't find any stamps on the back. In REALLY nice shape - was obviously taken care of.
