A condenser fan motor that I've never seen before....(pics)

To all the HVAC professionals, especially the Trane / American Standard specialists here at GJ, I could surely use your help. The condenser blower motor in the photos was pulled from a packaged Amer. Std. rooftop unit (Model # WCX030A100BB). As you can see, it's a GE motor. The American...

A question for the multimeter specialists....

Bogie - It's not as though I feel like I need them, per se. If I were using my multimeter daily, you can be sure these caps would be tossed into the trash pronto. But my wrenching is done at home, at night, when I have time. So to have these things on the tips of the probes isn't as...

A question for the multimeter specialists....

I have lost one of the two transparent (vinyl?) litte "caps" that protect the tips of the leads. My question is this: With my lone remaining little cap, m I better off protecting the tip of the red probe? Or should I be capping the black one? Or, does it matter none at all? I know this is...

    Decent multimeter

Gents - My Fluke 179 multimeter was stolen earlier this week. If any of y'all have an extra multimeter that is collecting dust, I just might be interested in taking it off your hands. I'm looking for an above-average multimeter. It should have all of the basic functions. I'm not married...

Inflating tires...and your tools that do it.

Yes, my inflator model has the number-line-setup. The only thing more difficult than getting to those stems on the inner dually axle, is to get a reading on the inflator. But I am plowing onward with a good attitude.

Inflating tires...and your tools that do it.

The feedback from each of you has helped. Thank you again for your input. It seems to me that everyone has good things to say about Milton's products. Or more importantly....nobody has chimed in with a poor experience. Depending on frequency of use, garage environment, whatever....going...

Inflating tires...and your tools that do it.

This Blue Point GA-477A was a Craigslist buy for twenty bucks. To be honest, I am not a fan. Perhaps I'm doing it wrong, but I cannot get a true "connection" to a valve to save my life. The readout gauge is difficult to read, and the gauge psi readout always is the lowest psi value. (When I...

Inflating tires...and your tools that do it.

For trucks, you follow the tire manufacturer's recommended psi (the max) over the sticker on the door? My '95 F350 7.5 460 big block is a dually. All six tires are basic Mesa A/P2 tires I bought at Big O about 10,000 miles ago. Ford recommends 60psi front, 80 psi rear. I have followed...

Inflating tires...and your tools that do it.

In terms of light trucks, you opt to follow tire manufacturer's recommended psi over the trucks data "plate" on the door? I would be very interested to know why you do this. My '95 F350 7.5 460 big block is a dually. All six tires are basic Mesa A/P2 tires I bought at Big O about 10,000...

Inflating tires...and your tools that do it.

This post could very well get out of hand quick. And if it does it's because I'm at my wits end when the seasons change and the warm weather calls for more attention to my truck's tires. I'm wanting to get educated (through y'all of course!) about: 1. Your preferred pneumatic tire inflator...

    Does this look familiar...?

Yeah, I'm thinking it's an AC adapter too. Gents, you have helped immensely. Thank you everyone for your input. Cheers!

    Does this look familiar...?

I was thinking the same thing as you. Are you absolutely sure it's a tire chuck fitting?

    Does this look familiar...?

Yesterday afternoon I was milling through a bin labelled "Misc." at the local pawn shop. During this time I came across this little guy you see in the photos. At first I thought it was some sort of funky adapter/connector for an air hose. No part numbers, nor mfg markings are seen. Does...

Renewal kit recommendation for a vintage Wright ratchet

Hello - Pictured below is a Wright 3/8" ratchet. The directional knob has broken off. Does anyone know of a rebuild kit I can get in order to get this ratchet back on its feet? I counted 24 teeth inside the ratchet. Any help would be huge. Kindly, Broken Wright Ratchet Owner

WTF? I've never seen THIS before....

Gents - As you might have guessed, I am a beginner, taking my first steps in the long journey to "tool wisdom". Once again, I have learned something from GJ. You guys are great. I mean it sincerely when I tell each of you that I respect your feedback...for you are helping this ignoramus...
