Mr cool sizing and mounting location

Why not go with the multizone DIY? You could run two 18k indoor units off of one outside unit. https://mrcool.com/diy-multi-zone/

    Negotiating construction costs?

I'm having a pool installation done. One contractor said he didn't want to come out, one gave me a quote over the phone, one wanted to come out and charged me $75 to come out and quote. I paid the $75 and will be using him. He's not cheap but he talked to me for an hour and asked me to take...

Mounting max-lite 2-tube LED direct wire to ceiling w/anchors

I always try to find the rafters when hanging things on the ceiling. The Feit 4' lights usual hit 2 rafters. They don't have to be centered because they are so light (pun intended). Barry North Florida

    Wiring a pole barn shop.

Looks nice. I can see doing that where you know doors and switches are going to be. I'm having balance issues and want to minimize my ladder time. I will incorporate this into my upcoming transformation of a horse barn! Barry North Florida

Running Electrical From House To New Pole Barn

What wire calculator are you using for this? If I run this through Paige Wiring's calculator I get 1/0 AL and 1 gauge for copper.

    Pool & Spa Electrical

I'll keep that distance in mind! The spa is currently a 6x6 on a 120V 20amp circuit. The pad I am building is 8x8 in case we want a bigger one later. Up sizing the feeders might be a good idea. Would 80 amps cut it? Barry North Florida

    Pool & Spa Electrical

I'm currently building a slab to place a spa/hot tub on and we will be getting an above ground pool within 20 feet of the spa. Because of the slopped ground, one side is ~ 2' higher than the other side. There will be a deck ~ 4' off the ground so the spa is 1' above the deck. Can I run a sub...

    The Everything 3D Printer Thread

I am upgrading my A8 Plus to an SKR 1.4 Turbo and I should be able to test it tonight. I downloaded 2.0.6 last night and only got half way through setup. It will be another week or two before I can get back to adding my BLTouch.

    3D Printed Electrical Boxes?

3D printing has come down in price for the "hobbyist" printers that are out right now. The materials are very cheap for one off items that no one prduces. Anything above 1000 would probably not make sense. I searched a little and found this obviously biased piece about 3D printed electrical...

    Help with CAT6 wire

If you choose to run Cat 6, you might want to use shielded cable. You have to terminate with special oytlets or connectors. I'd seriously recommend fiber and get fiber converters if you don't have switches that are fiber capable. I've used Blackbox with great success at work...
