Not all floor jacks are created equal, normally when you jack up a car it's to get under it and work on it pushing/pulling/twisting things makes it move on the jack, used on blacktop the jack can sink on on side etc.

I've seen too many jacks fall over, I want a second point of safety like jack stand or 2 provides.

Did you run it through a complete drive cycle? IE until all the monitors cleared. If the exhaust repair truly fixed the the CEL should have gone off on it's own once the O2 passed the test 2 or 3 times, if often takes 2 fails to turn it on.
